From Sunrise till Sunset - Part 2 : Outtakes (14 Photos)

So, these are the rest of the photos from my hike last Saturday. I don't know if you can call them Outtakes, but somehow they just didn't match to my yesterday's post From Sunrise till Sunset...;)

Sunrise . Hike . Sunset
Part 2 : Outtakes
Sunrise . Hike . Sunset

That's a zoomed view of the photo I have posted yesterday. You can see the fog covered Gegendtal valley and the Gurktal Alps in the background. The sun was just about to rise and has colorized the landscape beautifully.

Morning Colors - Orange Sky

The Dobratsch mountain with it's high transmitter tower is south of the mountain range where I have been hiking. The clouds have just begun to change their color to an intense orange-pinkish color and the fog has covered the whole valley below.

This is a view more towards south-east and you can see how intense the colors in the sky have already been.

Even more towards the east you can see the Mittagskogel mountain in front of an orange sky. From orange to pink and purple - we have had all morning colors in the sky - every time I stopped for a short break the sky has changed.

Hiking on my path in direction west to the Mirnock peak, the morning colors dissolved slowly and left a cloudy blue sky, but the clouds have become less and less with every step I took.

I have posted a photo of this tree yesterday too, but this time I have played a bit with Lightroom and Photoshop :)

Sometimes I should make notes what I am photographing, because otherwise I often have no idea about the mountains in the images - so, I can't tell you the names of the mountain peaks in the Carnic Alps we can see in the photo below.

Beautiful but unknown Mountain Peaks

Below the peak of the Mirnock there are a few little ponds which were reflecting the blue sky nicely.

The Lake Millstatt / Millstätter See was covered by a thick layer of fog only a short time before I have taken the next photos.

Unfortunately, I came a bit too late to my spot below the peak to take the timelapse video, because only a few minutes before you couldn't see the lake at all.

There's not much snow on the peaks in the west yet, but the views have been amazing anyway.

Back down in the valley I was just over the still dense layer of fog when I took these last photos of the foggy forest and the first sunset colors on the horizon.

So, these were 2 posts in two days, I haven't done so many posts such a short time in a while ;)

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)

I bet that the photographs, although amazingly breathtaking fall a tad short of actually being there seeing all this beauty with the naked eye @johanniber.

That's true, the photos don't show how it really was, because it's always better to feel and smell the fresh air and feel the warmth of the first sunrays... you only see, what I saw 😄

Good morning, @AngieMitchell, thank you so much for your kind words 😊 I hope you have a great weekend 🔆

Enchanting sunrise 🥰.... Those colors ... a view of the mountain peaks ... And a video that evoked your view and the changes that took place in a short time....
Have a great day @johannpiber ☀️☀️☀️

Lovely photos and that video as a bonus Hannes,

I think that I told you about my work on the trasmitter tower on the peak of the Mauschberg tower up north in our country. We climbed right through the clouds and when we looked down from the top of the tower, the clouds below us covered miles around like an ocean.
Your photos here remind me so much about that job. Especially the last 2 photos!

A great post here my friend and congrats!

Yes, you have told me about that job and that you know such views from climbing on such towers. In these Autumn days you can have such views almost every day. Sometimes the fog stays all day long, like in the area and town where I live. Yesterday we have had the first sunshine in weeks.

Thank you very much Zac 😊

Okay and I thought that I had told you, so thanks for the confirmation.
The magic happens when it starts to clear, as you have shown in the video!

Here is our local signal tower set on a seperate part of the mountain range, that I would dearly love to climb Hannes.
Best is that I have a contact and I may soon be able to get up there.

Cheers and thanks!

Then let's hope that the weather is nice or that the clouds are below the tower for beautiful photos ☺️

I just replied a big thank you to the other comment for your always so very kind comments, my friend 😁

At the moment there are always so many people everywhere that it sometimes makes no fun when you see 40 or 50 people on a peak and decide that you'll better come back on another day. But I try to hike on paths or often search my own path where I am most times alone 😉

Oh yes, you know what I mean 😊
Last time I followed an old path away from the official path, which suddenly ended in shrubs after a while. I had to fight through these till I found the real path after a while 🤣

Right, and because the weather can change within minutes in the mountains long pants are essential :) ... I leave the boring paths to the boring and noisy tourists ;)
