Me he preguntado en más de una oportunidad que es eso que hace que algo sea tan reconocido, que sirva como elemento que identifique inmediatamente un lugar, un espacio, un período histórico, y muchas respuestas pueden surgir a partir de eso, pero, me pregunto además si soy el único que se hace ese tipo de preguntas.

I have asked myself on more than one occasion what it is that makes something so recognizable, that serves as an element that immediately identifies a place, a space, a historical period, and many answers can arise from that, but I also wonder if I am the only one who asks such questions.

Una estructura mundialmente conocida es la Torre Eiffel, inmediatamente pensamos en Francia, igual ocurre si vemos la estatua de la Libertad, nos llega al imagen de los Estados Unidos, y esos son símbolos mundialmente conocidos, que han quedado en la historia mundial por acontecimientos históricos o porque su construcción tuvo algo particular que la hace única.

A worldwide known structure is the Eiffel Tower, we immediately think of France, the same happens if we see the Statue of Liberty, it comes to the image of the United States, and these are symbols known worldwide, which have remained in world history for historical events or because its construction had something particular that makes it unique.

Otro punto a favor es que muchas veces las películas las utilizan como puntos de referencia, y así se hace mundial un símbolo determinado, sabemos todos muy bien el impacto que tienen el cine y la TV en la mentalidad de las masas de población, hasta que finalmente después de ver tantas veces algo, sea verdad o mentira, termina convirtiéndose en una realidad absoluta.

Another point in favor is that many times movies are used as reference points, and in this way a certain symbol is made worldwide, we all know very well the impact that movies and TV have on the mentality of the masses of the population, until finally after seeing something so many times, be it truth or lie, it ends up becoming an absolute reality.

Lo que si es muy cierto, es que hay algunos referentes locales y mundiales, que cada uno de nosotros reconoce como algo que de cierta manera les es propio, no digo que esto sea bueno o malo, sino que sencillamente lo es.

What is very true is that there are some local and global references that each one of us recognizes as something that in a certain way is our own, I am not saying that this is good or bad, but that it simply is.
