He was formerly a Principal and Chief Investment Officer of the Fortress Macro Fund; he was also a member of the Board of Directors of Fortress Investment Group LLC and was ranked a billionaire by Forbes in 2007 and 2008.
Prior to joining Fortress, he was a partner at Goldman Sachs where he spent much time abroad including leadership roles in Asia and Latin America. Novogratz is a 1987 graduate of Princeton University.
