Scholarship (Freewrite Challenge)
Mark has enrolled in the university as a scholar in 1923. His first year is quite a struggle because of adjustments, as well as the trauma in him of the World War 1 going back but he's able to manage it.
Sadly in his third year of college, his father became ill that he needs to go home to assist his mother taking care of his dad, as well as to look over their business. His scholarship is gone that he has to stop schooling.
His father's health deteriorated, and eventually passed away leaving him and his mom. His father is 48 years old then. Mark decided to stay with her mom for a while before going back to school. His mom encouraged him to go back to school but he insisted to take care of her for a year.
