Challenge - Stay home, share 3 travel photos (Day 12)
Greetings. This is my twelve post for this excellent initiative where we share three pictures from our trips. It's a good way to relieve the tensions created by the prolonged quarantine.
Below I share with you my three pictures.
Challenge Day 12
First trip
Lake Valencia
The first picture corresponds to a section of the road that borders Lake Valencia, in the north of Venezuela. The lake is a large reservoir of fresh water; unfortunately, these waters are contaminated by waste from the large urban centers located near the lake. Its waters are used for the many crops located nearby. Until the 1970s, the lake served as a recreational area for the inhabitants of the area, water skiing competitions were famous, and many international competitions were held in its waters. So far, all attempts to decontaminate the waters of this beautiful lake have failed.
Second trip
Maturin
The second picture corresponds to the Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, it is one of the biggest churches in Venezuela and it is located in the city of Maturín, in the East of Venezuela. Maturin extends across a large plain, is a very green city and has had a great development motivated by the growth of the oil industry. I took this picture during my visit to meet one of my granddaughters. It was a great event for me. The city is 800 km away from Maracay, where I live, so I can't go there very often. The site has many attractions and all the comforts to spend a season in an environment surrounded by a great natural environment.
Third trip
Road to Magdaleno
I took this photo in a sector of the road that leads from Maracay to the town of Magdaleno, in the state of Aragua, in the north of Venezuela. The entire road borders the shores of Lake Valencia and is used for agricultural activity. The photo is made with the HDR technique from three shots with different levels of exposure. HDR is a technique that allows to extend the dynamic range of the photo, so you can appreciate both dark and light areas, in some photos like this you can achieve very interesting effects.
