Hola a toda la comunidad, como sabrán estoy, al pie del cañon realizando consultas virtuales y presenciales, bajo los más estrictos controles de seguridad, y hoy me escribió una paciente, que se quejaba de dolor y sensibilidad.

Hello to the whole community, as you know I am at the bottom of the barrel doing virtual and face-to-face consultations, under the strictest security controls, and today a patient wrote to me, complaining of pain and sensitivity.

Me envio una foto vía Whatsapp, y me refiere, que se le fracturó la obturación que tenía en el cuello de un diente, y no puede comer nada porque le ataca el dolor.

He sent me a picture via Whatsapp, and he told me that the filling in his neck was broken, and he can't eat anything because of the pain.

Debido a la cuerentena las consultas virtuales se han convertido en nuestra gran aliada a la hora de poder solventar cualquier duda o situación.

Due to the cuerentena the virtual consultations have become our gram ally at the time of being able to solve any doubt or situation.

Este tipo de situaciones, como dolor agudo al frío debe solventarse inmediatamente, pero debido a la cuarentena, estamos implementando protocolos de atención a puerta cerrada, sin acompañente en la sala de espera, sólo debe estar el paciente, le solicitamos que se aplique antibacterial junto con llegar a la clinica.

Para trabajar utilizo mi bata, luego me coloco una bata desechable, gorro quirúrgico, tapaboca, mascara protectora, guantes en este caso uso de vinilo sin talco.

Se le indica al paciente que debes confirmar la cita, y llamar cuando este fuera para abrir la puerta de seguridad.

The patient is instructed to confirm the appointment, and call when out to open the sergurian door.

Se atiende el paciente y al finalizar se aplica protocolo de esterilización a todo el instrumental, desinfección y autoclave, se aplica una solución con cloro y esterilizador al frío para rociar todas las superficies de trabajo.

The patient is attended to and at the end a sterilization protocol is applied to all the instruments, disinfection and autoclaving, a solution of chlorine is applied and a cold sterilizer is used to spray all the work surfaces.

De este manera hemos podido atender las urgencias odotologicas en cuarentena.

In this way we have been able to attend to dental emergencies in quarantine.
