Mi experiencia en el Teatro Colón / My experience at the Teatro Colón

Hola queridos amigos y lectores, espero todos sigan muy bien,

Quiero hablarles en esta publicación un poco de mis experiencias con el histórico Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, el cual es el tercer teatro con mejor acústica de todo el mundo y nosotros los Latinoamericanos tenemos el lujo de tenerlo cerca, en Argentina.

Este teatro es considerado por músicos y profesionales del área de la acústica como uno de los mejores tanto para Óperas cómo para conciertos sinfónicos, por su excelente limpieza sonora y la conservación de éste. Detalle que lo posee desde su creación, 1908.

Es muy curioso hablar de la historia de este Teatro, porque han sido tres "inauguraciones" siendo esta última la actual, ubicada cerca de la famosa Av. Corrientes

Sinceramente cómo músico no es tan fácil tener alguna presentación acá, ya que siempre planifican todo el año quedando totalmente lleno para nuevos eventos, pero tengo la oportunidad de ser parte del Instituto Superior del Teatro y es por esto que mis conciertos acá son relativamente seguidos.

Para hablarles de lleno del Teatro quiero hablarles primero de mis impresiones la primera vez que lo recorrí interiormente.

Una de las cosas que vamos a notar es ese detalle tan vivo y tan europeo que le da una belleza gigante visualmente. Una calidad de cuidado que parece de ensueño, algo digno de ver y de fotografiar

Otro detalle que va a ser muy fácil de notar es ese rojo intenso que hace contraste del amarillo de las luces y del quizás fondo de las paredes, de los detalles, algo que le da mucha vida como ya les dije al contraste tanto desde el escenario como desde las butacas.

Y ya empezando a hablar de la acústica y curioso mencionar que en ningún momento un instrumentista tiene la necesidad de exprimir o forzar su sonido para que este llegue a quien escucha de manera notoria, es prácticamente que todo lo contrario.

Uno de los detalles que va relacionado que está sensación auditiva es la claridad del colorido timbrico de los instrumentos, del mismo silencio, de los juegos de matices, pero sobretodo de los pianisimos y los fortes que interpreta la orquesta o el solista. Algo increíble.

Tener la oportunidad de interpretar solos o de tocar de solista es algo que sin duda es una experiencia única, aunque aún no he tenido la oportunidad de esta última, es una sensación sumamente gratificante, tanto de interpretar como también de escuchar. Algo único.

I want to tell you in this publication a bit about my experiences with the historic Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, which is the third theater with the best acoustics in the world and we Latin Americans have the luxury of having it close , in Argentina.

Honestly, as a musician, it is not so easy to have a presentation here, since they always plan the whole year being totally full for new events, but I have the opportunity to be part of the Higher Institute of Theater and this is why my concerts here are relatively followed.

To tell you fully about the Theater, I want to tell you first about my impressions the first time I went inside.

One of the things that we are going to notice is that detail so vivid and so European that it gives it a giant beauty visually. A quality of care that seems dreamy, something worth seeing and photographing

Another detail that will be very easy to notice is that intense red that contrasts the yellow of the lights and perhaps the background of the walls, of the details, something that gives a lot of life as I already told the contrast both from the stage as from the seats.

And already starting to talk about acoustics and curious to mention that at no time does an instrumentalist have the need to squeeze or force their sound so that it reaches the listener in a notorious way, it is practically the opposite.

One of the details that is related to this auditory sensation is the clarity of the colorful timbre of the instruments, of the same silence, of the nuances, but above all of the pianisimos and the forts that the orchestra or soloist performs. Something incredible.

Having the opportunity to perform alone or to play solo is something that is undoubtedly a unique experience, although I have not yet had the opportunity of the latter, it is an extremely gratifying feeling, both to perform and to listen. Something unique.
