Making a new wallet design to accompany the bag I made.
Good morning everyone,
Yesterday after the church service, I quickly went home to make a bag I had to deliver yesterday. I got the order late and the day of delivery was shifted also plus the fact that my machine misbehaved, it gave me just yesterday to complete the bag. The bag was meant to be a birthday gift for one of my friend's fiance and her birthday was yesterday. That means it had to be delivered yesterday.
As soon I got home and I started making the bag immediately. Finally, despite the problems the machine gave I was able to get the bag completed. After making the bag I thought it will be nice to make a lovely wallet with it. So I designed and made a simple but beautiful wallet with it. The wallet can contain money/phone with three credit cards comfortably. Below I'll be showing how I made the wallet.
MATERIALS USED FOR THE WALLET
- Leather of choice
- Magnet
PROCESS
- First I got my measurements which were 9 by 8 inches with 4 by 8 inches in two places). Then I used a pencil to design the leather and cut as seen below.
- After cutting out the designed part, I applied gum to the edges, gummed the necessary parts and stitched them together.
