How I MADE A NEW PORTABLE BAG USING NUDE MATERIAL WITH CHAIN AS HANDLE.

This lovely Saturday morning, I want to share with us my recent design. I decided to make something more fashionable, like a party bag. You know we Nigerians love to party most especially during weddings and festive periods. I decided to make a bag that can conveniently go on a native dress and also on English wears. What do you guys think of this design?
I discovered my leather-board material is getting reduced and I wasn't sure if I will get the style on first trial and also because I want something lighter inside, I decided to use a light fibre instead of the leather-board. After making the bag, I noticed its also nice to work with for this kind of style but it's not as flexible as leather-board. Though I might try a bigger size bag with the fibre and see the effect on it.
MATERIALS USED
- Fibre
- Leather of choice
- Gum
- D rings
- Chain
- Suade material for lining
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to create the pattern for the bag. After that I marked and cut it out on the Fibre. I also cut it out on the leather. After that I gummed them together. Next I cut out the Suade lining and fix the bag lock. After that I fixed the side D rings and I gummed thesides with the lining. Finally, I stitched the sides with the bag and I attached the chain.
