Yo empecé a escribir a los 15 años, comencé con poesía y un par de cuentos. Me di cuenta que me sentía muy bien escribiendo y yo quería retomarlo, aunque para variar estaba muy ocupada y el mundo de la ciencia ocupaba, en aquel entonces, el 90% de mi vida. En fin, ahí de forma rápida en el computador de mis amigos me tocó pensar en un nombre, el cual construí con mucha facilidad. Porque siempre he adorado mi profesión, y la palabra Tierra ha estado vinculada conmigo.

Por eso, yo escogí "Gea", un nombre griego que hace referencia a la Diosa de la Tierra, la madre Tierra que llegó a engendrar dos hijos de forma espontánea. Así que de forma sencilla coloqué ese nombre fuerte y poderoso delante del mío "Adriana" para constituir mi Alter Ego. De hecho, en oportunidades si me dicen Adriana no respondo porque esta nueva comunidad de amigos de la Blockchain me han acostumbrado a mi apodo "Gea".

El nombre Geadriana lo empecé a usar en la Blockchain donde ya tengo casi tres años, en ese momento le di fortaleza porque investigué el significado de mi nombre y este se relaciona con el mar Adriático y significa "la mujer del mar" o "la que viene del mar". Yo vivo en una ciudad costera, mi formación académica de pregrado es en el área de Ciencias de la Tierra y a nivel doctoral en Ciencias Marinas. Por eso, "Geadriana" simplemente me define porque relaciona mi formación académica, mi pasión por el estudio de las ciencias ambientales (área de investigación) e incluso describe mis gustos.

This year is already running. It seems to me that time flies. I'm trying to catch up with the slopes of 2020. To be honest, I haven't thought about my purpose for this year yet, however, one of the things I want to do is to take up a little writing in the Blockchain and in the scientific part as well. Let's see how it goes. In the search for inspiration, I came across this possibility that I find interesting to share. So I start this adventure with a good disposition. Today I share where it came from in the name that I use here. I hope you like it.

Actually, the selection of my name was made in the year 2014 when I wanted to have a blog in wordpress. I felt that I had a lot to say and share because of all the experiences, my area of knowledge and education in general, and good because I liked to write.

I started writing when I was 15 years old, I started with poetry and a couple of stories. I realized that I felt very good writing and I wanted to take it up again, although for a change I was very busy and the world of science occupied at that time 90% of my life. Finally, there, quickly, in my friends' computer, I had to think of a name, which I built up very easily. Because I have always loved my profession, and the word Earth has been linked to me.

That's why I chose "Gaia", a Greek name that refers to the Earth Goddess, Mother Earth, who spontaneously gave birth to two children. So in a simple way I placed that strong and powerful name in front of mine "Adriana" to constitute my Alter Ego. In fact, sometimes if I am called Adriana I do not respond because this new community of friends of the Blockchain have accustomed me to my nickname "Gea".

I started to use the name Geadriana in the Blockchain where I am almost three years old, at that moment I gave it strength because I researched the meaning of my name and it is related to the Adriatic Sea and means "the woman of the sea" or "the one that comes from the sea". I live in a coastal city, my undergraduate education is in the area of Earth Sciences and at the doctoral level in Marine Sciences. Therefore, "Geadriana" simply defines me because it relates my academic background, my passion for the study of environmental sciences (research area) and even describes my tastes.
