Mi viaje de graduación || My graduation trip

Los años de universidad fueron de los más bonitos que he vivido y culminar esta etapa de mi vida con un viaje tan gratificante como éste para recibir mi título como licenciada, fue cerrar con broche de oro. Aquí les contaré todo lo vivido en mi viaje a la ciudad de Mérida – Venezuela.

My college years were some of the most beautiful I have ever lived and to culminate this stage of my life with a trip as rewarding as this one to receive my degree as a graduate, was to close with a flourish. Here I will tell you everything I experienced on my trip to the city of Merida - Venezuela.

Curse mis estudios en la Universidad de Los Andes, pero específicamente en el núcleo “Dr. Pedro Rincón Gutiérrez” ubicado en la ciudad de San Cristóbal. Allí conocí personas que ahora considero mis amigos, cuando empecé la carrera éramos más de 30 personas, cada uno fue tomando su camino, bien sea escogiendo otra carrera universitaria, por deserción, por huir de la crisis que el país ha presentado los últimos años haciendo que muchos de estos se fueran al extranjero, otros adelantaron sus materias y se graduaron antes que yo, otros están por culminar la carrera y a la final solo quedamos dos personas, mi amiga Jany y yo, pero ella por asuntos personales no pudo acompañarme a recibir el título, así que quede sola por mi carrera. Algo que no esperaba pero así tuvieron que pasar las cosas.

La carrera que escogí es la de Licenciada en educación mención “física y matemática”, así es me profesionalice como docente en estas dos materias que pueden ser un dolor de cabeza para muchos en la etapa de bachillerato jaja, pero para mí va a ser muy grato poder enseñar y dar todo de mí en cada clase que imparta.

Como dije antes, el país está pasando por una crisis desde hace unos años así que no fue nada fácil culminar mi carrera, habían muchas personas que estando a mitad de carrera me decían las frases, “para que estudias, eso no sirve ponte a trabajar” o “ser docente no te dará para vivir, estudia otra cosa” y en muchas oportunidades estuve a punto de abandonar, pero gracias a Dios y a mis padres que siempre han estado allí para apoyarme en cada decisión que tome y a impulsarme a superarme cada día, me daban comentarios positivos de que yo podía lograrlo, y lo primero que les dije cuando culmine mi última materia no fue lo logré, sino “mamá, papá, lo logramos” y es que es la verdad, y el tenerlos a ellos es una bendición.

Ahora sí, comencemos con la historia del viaje.

I studied at the Universidad de Los Andes, but specifically in the "Dr. Pedro Rincón Gutiérrez" center located in the city of San Cristóbal. There I met people that I now consider my friends, when I started the race we were more than 30 people, each one was taking their way, either by choosing another university career, by desertion, by fleeing the crisis that the country has presented in recent years causing many of these went abroad, others advanced their subjects and graduated before me, others are about to complete the race and in the end there were only two people, my friend Jany and I, but she for personal reasons could not accompany me to receive the title, so I was alone for my career. Something I did not expect but that's how things had to happen.
The career I chose is a degree in education mention "physics and mathematics", so I became a professional teacher in these two subjects that can be a headache for many in the high school stage haha, but for me it will be very pleasant to teach and give everything I have in each class I teach.
As I said before, the country is going through a crisis for a few years so it was not easy to finish my career, there were many people who being in the middle of my career told me the phrases, "what are you studying for, that does not work, go to work" or "being a teacher will not give you to live, study something else" and many times I was about to give up, But thanks to God and my parents who have always been there to support me in every decision I made and to encourage me to improve myself every day, they gave me positive comments that I could make it, and the first thing I told them when I finished my last subject was not "I made it", but "mom, dad, we made it" and it is the truth, and having them is a blessing.
Now, let's start with the story of the trip.

DÍA 1 18-04-2022 (COMENZAMOS EL VIAJE)

DAY 1 04-18-2022 (WE START THE TRIP)

Ese día fue lunes, me levante muy temprano, me di un baño y desayune. Ya tenía lista mi maleta y todo lo que iba a llevar. A las 8 de la mañana mi novio pasó por mí y nos dirigimos hacia el terminal. Allí esperamos hasta casi las 10 de la mañana que saliera el bus para empezar nuestro viaje. Viajamos por aproximadamente 7 horas haciendo solo una parada.

That day was Monday, I got up very early, took a bath and had breakfast. I had my suitcase ready and everything I was going to take with me. At 8 o'clock in the morning my boyfriend picked me up and we went to the bus station. There we waited until almost 10 am for the bus to leave to start our trip. We traveled for about 7 hours making only one stop.

Llegamos al hotel y salimos a comer algo, ya que no habíamos comido nada desde el desayuno. Llegue muy cansada así que no tome más fotos y solo me di un baño y nos acostamos a dormir porque al día siguiente nos esperaba un maravilloso día.

We arrived at the hotel and went out to eat something, since we had not eaten anything since breakfast. I arrived very tired so I didn't take any more pictures and just took a bath and we went to sleep because the next day we had a wonderful day ahead of us.

DÍA 2 19-04-2022 (ENSAYOS)

Ese día me desperté como a las 6 de la mañana y mi novio nos hizo el desayuno mientras yo me alistaba ya que era el día de la firma del libro y ensayos del acto de grado. Llegamos al lugar a las 10:20 am aproximadamente. Este fue mi look, un enterizo color rosado (mi color favorito) con unos tacones negros y un peinado simple pero lindo.

That day I woke up at about 6 am and my boyfriend made us breakfast while I got ready because it was the day of the book signing and rehearsals for the graduation ceremony. We arrived at the place at about 10:20 am. This was my look, a pink one-piece (my favorite color) with black heels and a simple but cute hairstyle.

Nos hicieron pasar junto con los demás graduandos, vi las hermosas instalaciones de la universidad y quedé fascinada.

We were ushered in with the other graduates, I saw the beautiful facilities of the university and was fascinated.

Por razones de bioseguridad nos hicieron usar caretas y tapabocas para los eventos. Culminados los ensayos, fuimos de regreso al hotel, me cambie y nos fuimos a almorzar con otros graduandos y sus familiares. Fuimos a un hermoso restaurant de comida China llamado Shanghái. Ya luego caminamos y conocimos las calles y algunos lugares y de vuelta al hotel.

For biosecurity reasons they made us wear masks and masks for the events. After the rehearsals were over, we went back to the hotel, I changed and we went to lunch with other graduates and their families. We went to a beautiful Chinese restaurant called Shanghai. Then we walked around and got to know the streets and some places and back to the hotel.

DÍA 3 20-04-2022 (PASEO Y LLEGADA DE MIS PADRES)

DAY 3 04-20-2022 (WALK AND ARRIVAL OF MY PARENTS)

Para este día no madrugamos tanto ya que los días anteriores habían sido bastante ocupados, no obstante quería salir y conocer ya que no nos quedaríamos muchos días, así que desayunamos y salimos a conocer. Nos recomendaron ir a varios lugares, pero como no íbamos con vehículo sino estábamos a pie solo podíamos ir a lugares dentro de la ciudad, así que fuimos a conocer la hermosa plaza de las heroínas y la estación Barinitas del teleférico de Mérida, lamentablemente estaba cerrado el sistema del teleférico así que solo pudimos conocer y entrar a las instalaciones de esta primera estación.

Luego de allí fuimos a almorzar, y de allí al centro comercial Rodeo plaza que queda en la Av. Las Américas, donde disfrutamos de un delicioso helado.
Como a las 5 de la tarde nos trasladamos al terminal a esperar a mis padres que llegaban y nos fuimos a cenar una deliciosa Pizza cerca del hotel antes de irnos a descansar. Eso sí, hay muchos restaurantes en la ciudad, y a todos los que fuimos me encantó la comida.

From there we went to lunch, and from there to the Rodeo Plaza shopping center on Las Americas Avenue, where we enjoyed a delicious ice cream.
At about 5 pm we went to the terminal to wait for my parents who were arriving and we went to have a delicious Pizza dinner near the hotel before going to rest. Of course, there are many restaurants in the city, and all the ones we went to I loved the food.

DÍA 4 21-04-2022 (EL GRAN DÍA)

Nos levantamos súper temprano, mi mami nos preparó unas ricas arepas para el desayuno y todos nos alistamos para el gran día. El evento comenzaba a las 11:00 de la mañana pero debíamos estar una hora antes.

Antes de salir, solo tome esta foto porque la verdad estaba muy nerviosa.

We got up super early, my mom made us some delicious arepas for breakfast and we all got ready for the big day. The event started at 11:00 in the morning but we had to be there an hour before.
Before leaving, I just took this picture because I was really nervous.

El acto de grado duro aproximadamente una hora, fue muy emotivo, tuve muchos nervios pero de esos que llamo “los buenos”, esa sensación que te da cuando estas a punto de hacer algo que has esperado por mucho tiempo, que te llena de emoción y te deja sin aliento y sin palabras para expresar lo que estas sintiendo en ese momento.
Luego de recibir mi título me encontré con mis padres y salimos. Aquí si tomé muchas fotos jeje. Todos nos veíamos muy guapos.

The graduation ceremony lasted about an hour, it was very emotional, I had a lot of nerves but those I call "the good ones", that feeling you get when you are about to do something you have waited for a long time, that fills you with emotion and leaves you breathless and without words to express what you are feeling at that moment.
After receiving my degree I met my parents and we went out. Here I took a lot of pictures hehe. We all looked very handsome.

Luego de allí mi novio me presentó a unas amigas de él que vive en la ciudad de Mérida, personas maravillosas que nos acompañaron en el almuerzo y parte de la tarde.
Fuimos a un restaurante que se llama Barba negra ubicado en la Av. Los Próceres, un lugar muy lindo y con atención de primera. Tenían un lindo columpio o mecedor donde tomamos varias fotos.

After that my boyfriend introduced me to some friends of his who live in the city of Merida, wonderful people who accompanied us for lunch and part of the afternoon.
We went to a restaurant called Barba negra located on Los Proceres Avenue, a very nice place with first class service. They had a nice swing or rocking chair where we took several pictures.

Luego de allí nos fuimos a cambiar, y lleve a mis padres a que conocieran la estación Barinitas y sus hermosos paisajes, tomamos chocolate caliente y probamos unas deliciosas tortas que venden en un lugar a las afueras de las instalaciones. Además fuimos a conocer una parte de la ciudad hasta que se nos hizo de noche para volver al hotel.

After that we went to change, and I took my parents to get to know the Barinitas station and its beautiful landscapes, we drank hot chocolate and tasted some delicious cakes that they sell in a place outside the facilities. We also went to see part of the city until it got dark to return to the hotel.

DÍA 5 22-04-2022 (DE VUELTA A CASA)

Nos levantamos súper temprano todos para dejar todo listo y maletas preparadas para volver a casa. Salimos al terminal y nos preparamos para el viaje de regreso.

Este fue un hermoso viaje, compartí con las personas que más quiero en mi vida, y me acompañaron en esta etapa, a excepción de mi hermanito que se encuentra en Perú, que nos hizo mucha falta pero sé que con el favor de Dios nos veremos pronto y viviremos otras hermosas experiencias como familia.

We all got up super early to get everything ready and packed to go home. We went to the terminal and got ready for the return trip.
This was a beautiful trip, I shared with the people I love the most in my life, and they accompanied me in this stage, except for my little brother who is in Peru, which made us miss a lot but I know that with God's favor we will see each other soon and live other beautiful experiences as a family.
