"Vibrant Green"

Among the types of colors for this photo challenge, green is probably the one that I feel most gravitated to. And it's abundant to where I'm at right now. It's everywhere.

Pine Tree (unknown)

It does look like a pine tree. Although the needles look unique from the usual pine trees that have really thin needles. Most of the pines trees are found in places with cold climates however, this one is in Singapore (near CHIJMES Cathedral).

I took a close-up view of the pine needles to show to my friends but even they don't know what it's called. Even google search can't really give me an answer and so if you know something about it then feel free to comment below ;)

Shameplant

Another type of plant that's abundant in the public places of Singapore is the interesting Shameplant. It's a remarkable plant since it reacts to anything that touches it. Even a strong wind could affect it. Also, it bears a kind of flower that looks amazing in close-up view as well.

Algae

At the banks of Bedok Reservoir (Singapore), there's an abundance of algae. It usually appears after the rainy season and prior to the summer season. During those times the temperature of the water is higher and there's an abundance of light since the sky is usually clear.

In this reservoir, the algae usually accumulate on the surface of the rocks which gave it a green-ish color. The Bedor Reservoir is a manmade lake but over time it starts to look more natural than it used to be.

The locals are also fond of kayaking which makes the reservoir the perfect place to do it. The water is calm and the surrounding area is serene as well.
