Architectural Photography using my iPhone

This is the reason why I like taking photos of awesome architecture buildings, it's impactful when shot on an angle that exemplifies its character. Also, there are aspects of it that are already given to me, I just have to look what are they.

One of them is the amazing symmetry for this building.

All I had to do is to find the spot where I needed to align myself in this view. A well designed building like this made it obvious where to position my view.

The next thing I did is analyze the way I frame the subject. In this case, I always go for a view very few will go for. Why is that? To make it look unique. Most of the ones who will take photo of this won't take from the base of the elevator. They will always go for the other way and face the elevator. That's because it's the natural thing to do; go for the easier shot to make.

What I did on these shots is to position myself with the elevator shaft behind and then look upwards to bend my back to a point where I capture the tensile structure together with the shaft. It's an awkward position to make in public but I didn't care about it. For as long I capture the view that I wanted then I'm one putting myself into an awkward situation, lol.

And then the fun part, editing it through my iPhone. I said fun because it's where the final touch is done. To make the view even more interesting, I had to flip the image vertically to twist the way we look at the photo.

I hope I didn't lose you as I explain how I did these shots. Anyway, please enjoy viewing the images.

Cheers!
