Where is this coming from?
Not more than a week ago, I have announced the winner of a community challenge I put up for the purpose of sharing how the gaming industry is evolving inside the HIVE community. To celebrate all my exploring, testing and enthusiasm on bringing this information to wider audiences I have decided to ask for an illustration for #HIVEGames that are either working on HIVE or integrate with it.
In resume, @doze won the challenge but more importantly, I have got to know a super talented graphic designer to which many of you out there should be taking close attention to, on his works. Maybe even consider hiring him for some work, if that's on your bucket list of needs.
Just have a look at the new post picture above! 😱Uauu
These are just some of the great examples of what we can achieve in a distributed community like #HIVE! I am really proud of this achievement and because I love valuing great work, 75% of my rewards on this post will go to @doze as gratitude for his work. Make sure you drop in your feedback for further improvements or suggestions.
In addition, I would also like to stress the exposure importance of these #HIVEGames on the outside world of HIVE. Think about the possibilities and added value on having all these games listed at dappradar for example. For me, it's a no brainer! Just look at @splinterlands smashing the first place with more than 6000 users active within the last 24 hours. I am pretty sure we have more games that can be at the top25 on that table.
Owners of the bellow game dapps, please consider adding your games to dappradar via this link. I will make sure to remind you!
You missed it? 😤
Don't worry. You are still welcome to submit your art and tag me (wherever and whenever you do it, along with #HIVEGames tag). I will make sure to at least give you my feedback for that effort and if the work is really awesome, be rest assured that I will do all at my disposal to share that out! Use @doze picture above as the model.
On my previous post, I have shared some details about the games I have been having fun with. Be sure to check some details there if need to know more. I am also maintaining some of the previous information on this post for practicality.
Today's post will focus on some of the experience I had when playing these games and some giveaways that are not yet sold out. But before getting there, I need to share something interesting about a not so recent #HIVE exposure initiative that has been happening behind the scenes... or shall I rather say, in front of everyone!
Recently there has been a couple of people boosting super crazy initiatives on sharing this amazing community. Not to delay what this post is all about, make sure you check @acidyo 👉post about the new #posh token (proof of sharing) initiative that is already creating some interesting impact.
Into my experience about #HIVEGames
Check some of the giveaways I have bellow and if you happen to share them somewhere, let me know.
If you like growing a city like the SimCity game, but on the blockchain, with real massive rewards! Requires investment to play. It requires you to invest but it's probably one of the games with the best ratio of investment/rewards on the HIVE blockchain.
This was basically the game that made all this post initiative get going... It was when I realized that playing a game on HIVE was not anymore just part of an experiment but also a new beginning of an industry that I so much waited for. Blockchain Games!
In the discord server, you will find @gerber as a tireless worker on the developer of this game. He's (as many might know) involved on several other projects and still, for me... looks like the most advanced AI that is actually a real person. I really have great feedback for his professionalism, dedication and skills.
Along with him goes @mys, the developer of the webpage most of you know by interacting with this game. There are more people involved in this, and I apologise if I don't get to everyone. Thanks to all (including players) for taking this experience to another level.
Before, going to the next one, I need to share how much this game changed my view about games on HIVE. It is very important to mention that the technology involved within a game like this one, is very important and the most complete/integrated on #HIVE along with @splinterlands! So, for me, it's one of the first ones in my list.
I have nothing currently going around (I might start something at any time), but make sure you check the Dcity Giveaway Discord server created by @arpit. It's a place for both giveaway creators and grabbers.
A very fast-expanding game, with no initial investment needed. You can listen to music while playing and one day even become a world star with lots of fans.
The first time I have encountered this game, I had like a flashback about the possibilities of it... and how it could really make HIVE a greater place!
The screenshot below is from the last post, but I am already above level 110! That shows how much I am hooked to the game. You can both find some strategy (maths) and fun on competing with other users.
Let's remember that most of these games are fast expanding and on active development... hence it will be continuously evolving over time (feedback is very valuable, especially at these times). The rules are not final and honestly, that makes it all even more interesting. At least for now!
Some might call it unfair, but I kind of identify with these as a dynamic investment. There is also a really great component on these "card-based" games (due to NFTs structure) that provide seamless integration with HIVE, making the whole experience worth it! That is, due to the HIVE-Engine support for most of these games, a precursor (at least on my view) of the envisioned (hopefully one day implemented) SMTs (Smart Media Tokens).
After dCity, this is my second "having fun" game. I had several visionary "wishes" for this game initially, one of them is kind of happening already. The game provides the opportunity for anyone on HIVE to submit their own musical ideas that then get integrated into the game. This acts as a double-purpose effect on the value of the platform, especially in the long run.
My next wish for this platform would be the integration with something like Spotify! That's the kind of thing I think no other blockchain when you compare it to HIVE, these integration ideas have such great potential! I can't stress enough the potential of those... and the best way to expose such initiatives to the business industry is simply by sharing the great work.
I am currently giving away 3 Coffee Cups (one each) to the first 3 new players that using my referral complete 10 missions on the game and either respond here or on this tweet! Once the 3 cups have been given away, I will close the event.
Do you like a medieval fighting strategy with attributes, items, upgrades and so on? Then check this one out. You also don't need an initial investment to start playing this one.
I am to blame on this one... as I have actually started on this game almost a year ago, but then, don't know exactly why never got back to it. I think I will blame time and distractions.
In any case, I got back in track and decided to give it a big try... and... I loved it! Honestly always like fighting with attributes kind of games, like Diablo III for example. So this one was an interesting re-find.
The integration of the game with HIVE is really at an advanced level and if you battle in the arena you can get some neat upvotes to your posts! How cool is that!? On top of it, you can delegate HIVE and receive some BREAD if you don't have currency to invest at the moment.
I have done some really great push to the top 100 and I am really happy with the current upvoting weight, but I must stress it needs some more exposure to get the extra mile. I am currently on 1k HIVE delegation, but might up it a bit in the near future. If you can spare some, please go ahead! It's a nice way to support the game and also get some goodies without spending any liquid currency.
There are some ongoing great changes on the "next version" of the game, so stay tuned to the news on the discord server if this one makes it to the shelf of your preferences.
I have a planned giveaway of a robe I got, worth 150 BREAD! That's like A LOT OF MONEY (for a giveaway at least)... so be sure to check either my posts or the dark side of my twitter account (details below).
A big shout to @wren1221 that assisted me beautifully on getting this skin at the Discord server. Really nice team this game has, and I can only see it growing!
Wanna learn how to brew stuff (like me) and not actually have to go through the real process just yet? Then check this one... no initial investment.
A BEER game! Are you kidding me! Of course I am into it! Still in early development but look at these graphics... fricking stunning! You have already the ability to start some BEERs and collect some resources needed to brew one.
The nicest thing I can shout about this game is that the game developers are making this game both fun to play and a resource tool to learn about brewing beer. That has a huge potential value in my view and I am constantly checking it out.
Since it boasts so great looking graphics, I can't stress how important this one is to share around other social networks. It will gather some eyes for sure!
No support for Giveaways yet!
The game is still in very early stages but if I am not mistaken, it will embrace HIVE further down the track and then it might support sending out stuff to other players. So, don't get me wrong, but I am very eager for the next stages of this one. Let me know what you think about this game and I might cheer you up with some BEER token (created by @detlev).
Do you know "Magic the Gathering" or the Blizzard "HearthStone" card games? This is the HIVE blockchain version of them. But you do actually win real rewards on every game you play. Requires initial deck purchase to win rewards.
Oh, my blockchain! Do I really need introductions to the most known game on HIVE!? No... It's this amazing card game that completely replaced my occasional playing on Blizzard HearthStone game. Blizzard needs to know this... I am going to shout it on Twitter... wait a sec...
There you go... my shout to Blizzard!
I previously shared some regular season updates on my posts, about both my fights and other things around the game. I missed those posts as much as I miss playing as much as I was playing before. But as you can imagine, playing this much #HIVEGames, it's a bit hard!
No worries about the lack of activity though, since the "I don't even wanna call its name" take over, part of my assets went to cards on @splinterlands. And even if the price got a bit down, I really don't retreat it... because I can now reach the Diamon league, and I know that if I dedicate enough time, the Champions League!
I have done a couple "lend-aways" for free in the past... and I think I still have those cards lend 😅! Maybe it's time to get them back and find another set of users to lend them again? Any preferences? Check my deck and let me know if you would like any of them to be lend. The only requirement is for you to get a new user (per card) on-board with my referral above (so I can confirm) and I will lend the card for free and for at least 3 months (will likely be for way more)! Any card I own, except summoners! Comment below.
Long-awaited and still in development phase (but already playable) space game. Requires initial investment as you need a starter pack to play the game. For me, this game will be a breakthrough in terms of graphical games integrated with the HIVE Blockchain.
Do you like Space games? Then you need to check this one out. They have finished the pre-sale already but you can still buy the initial deck and try out the game. It's on early developments and time to time I give it a go on checking how things hard.
It seems quite complex at the start, but once you go through the tutorial, things start to ring the bell! For me, one of the most advanced graphical games on #HIVE. There is real stuff being cooked here. And if this ever reaches the Steam gaming platform... it's going to be great for HIVE and the game.
Some of the new mission profiles is being tested live to collect information from who plays... and I was a bit surprised at the beginning, but then made sense on a quick way to get details about user preferences and playing modes.
I have no giveaways at the moment...
For now, I am just an explorer, but that is mostly due to priorities in life. I rather focus on showing people around how good looking this is (for now) than actually testing it and providing additional information to the developers. I know it's valuable and I did already some recommendations, but we need more users trying it and finding the pro-quo feedback/fun ratio.
Maybe I need to do some work here. Influencers!!! Please shake my head if you see something else I am not... It's getting exhausting this list of games... but I am not giving up!
Another one that is super fun to play! In Alpha development, but you can already give it a try and you don't require an initial investment. Basically roll pigs and play with odds and attributes. Note that you can only withdraw to Ethereum addresses for now.
You are not religious about pigs, right? If you are, apologies for the next words. I love pork 😜! This is no disrespect ok?
This game is based on throwing pigs and depending on how they roll and hit the ground, you will get a score. I have only played it twice, and still, need to get to it, but it felt like there could be a bit more of "trying".
I have already lost all pigs (they died I guess...) because I have lost both games with @foxon 😡! Maybe I should count him accountable for the death of my pigs... or were they taken from me? I don't really know yet. Maybe @foxon knows more than me (most likely).
The game is currently linked (to some extent) to HIVE and Ethereum. You can only withdraw to Ethereum for now. I don't yet know if there are plans to support #HIVE too (would be great if so).
Again, this is "in development" games, so don't expect top-notch of everything. I liked the forensics so far and will give it a bit more in time. Consider it, under my radar!
NO planned giveaways, yet!
I will update if anything changes meantime.
Find yourself eager for some Gambling rolls? Try your chance responsibly here. Note: If you play dCity game mentioned above, you can win some tokens for free (with the Casino card) and use them to enhance your spending in this one.
NO Personal experience YET!
I am going, to be honest with this one. I am currently just an investor, and I am not a big fan of luck games. But I plan to spin a few coins to this one, once I feel lucky enough! LOL
Seriously, I am not against of any type of games, but these ones are not on my league. So far, I have nothing to complain about, but once I get into trying a few rolls, I will shout some feedback.
Others out there are welcome to comment on this post if you have a better feeling than me.
🌇Crypto Tycoon - Not integrated with HIVE
Developed by HIVE users, works on mobile phones too. Very simple but fun to play. Although it's not integrated with HIVE, I decided to add this one to the list.
Wow! Addicting game... I can tell you that. Imagine, if this was real money??? Would you play a game like that?
Right, right!? Can't you see the possibilities of "a trading" platform game like this on real markets... it would KILL everyone for Hype, exposure and easiness to trade. I can only hope my voice gets heard, because the skills on web apps programming from the team involved in the BRO Team, are already proven as you will continue to witness bellow.
On this note, there is only one way for you to get to feel the thing... try it out! No investment, no risks, just play the game and find out by yourself!
🌆BROcity - Not integrated with HIVE
Wanna play a different version of SimCity game with some fighting mixed in and street racing? Check this one. No initial investment required. This one is also not integrated with HIVE but allows you to purchase items with HIVE (using HIVE Keychain), therefore it has a place in this list.
I did play this game to some extent and even became a VIP user. The logic of the game is somehow similar to the dCity game one but does not yet have the "needed" blockchain integration, I, as a HIVE user, was looking for.
In my view, it does not have to be all around taking profits out of a game but I see why some people get upset because of that. For me, the important part is the added value to the chain (which is my focus) and if it's meant to have continuously improved, it will not motivate users enough to continue playing. This is my view ok? For me, it needs to be actively developed, otherwise, it loses momentum. I am not saying there isn't anything in the backstage being developed/improved, just saying it needs that and I am not noticing. But maybe it's just me.
I like the web interface, but there is still lots of room for improvement in the integration with the blockchain if that's really on the path. If not, no worries, but then it does not fall into this post category in the long term. For now, I will keep it, as I really liked the game, and all the fighting in and back with other players I know from HIVE. Great start!
🎲BROsino Poker - Not integrated with HIVE
Wider portal for many of the BRO Team creations. In general Poker and Casino typical games. Although not running on HIVE, it allows you to withdraw winnings to your HIVE wallet and it also allows donations, both using HiveSigner.
NO Personal experience yet!
I have some planned digging... but as it turned to be a bit of what I already knew from other chains, I opted to focus on some other stuff. But I will get back to you if you find my feedback valuable.
🎲The BROsino - Not integrated with HIVE
This was sort of the first version from the BRO Team on which gave birth to the above project...
I do believe this one needs to be merged with the previous one and I did actually like this version of the interface more. Maybe it has some bits that can be salvaged to improve the previous (mentioned game) one?
I don't really want you to see my critic as a negative one, as the people building these apps, work their ass off to at least "get something out". So think about it before you just say, "crap".
From my perspective, keeping an older game online when there is a planned/active new evolved version of it, is not at all a problem, but there should be a distinct reason to do it that has returned positive feedback from most of the users.
What I am saying is that I don't really know how much players are using each of these platforms actively and if it's worth for the team to keep the resources running. I know its nothing of my business to take care of that, but I do feel contemplated to speak about possible better ways of using the resources. And for the skills onboard, I can only think about great things!
Have fun, good luck on all the gaming and lots of teaching "how to play" to new players.
