Si te acabas de registrar o tienes poco tiempo en la plataforma HIVE, es probable que el banner y perfil de usuario de tu blog tengan la configuración por defecto; esto hace poco atractivo y menos interesante tu nicho de contenidos. Motivado a la inexperiencia y dificultad que representó configurar de forma creativa, vistosa y ordenada el banner y perfil de usuario al llegar a steemit, pienso que muchos usuarios que están iniciando o migraron con poco tiempo de steemit hacia Hive, requieran un poco de orientación para mejorar el aspecto visual de su banner, este es el propósito principal de este post.

If you have just registered or have little time on the HIVE platform, it is likely that the banner and user profile of your blog have the default configuration; this makes your content niche unattractive and less interesting. Motivated to the inexperience and difficulty that represented to configure in a creative, showy and ordered way the banner and user profile when arriving to steemit, I think that many users that are starting or migrated with little time from steemit to Hive, require a little orientation to improve the visual aspect of their banner, this is the main purpose of this post.

Un tutorial para que usuarios sin experiencia y poco tiempo de actividad en la plataforma, tengan una guía práctica y sencilla de cómo realizar estas importantes modificaciones. Sin más preámbulo, procedo a explicar detalladamente en qué consiste este procedimiento.

A tutorial for inexperienced users with little time on the platform, to have a practical and simple guide on how to make these important changes. Without further ado, I proceed to explain in detail what this procedure is.

Herramientas y materiales

Recomiendo el uso de imágenes con alta resolución, fotografías propias que puedan editarse sin ser pixelarse al ser dimensionadas; los vectores son ideales para lograr óptimos resultados, si no consigue vectores con licencia sujeta a modificaciones o libre de derechos de autor, es posible vectorizar imágenes propias con algún software especializado, en mi caso utilicé los recursos siguientes:

1. Adobe illustrator cs6 x 64 bit.
2. Adobe photoshop cs6 x 64 bit.
3. Paint (windows)
4. Imagen con Dominio Público (Logo HIVE)

I recommend the use of high resolution images, own photographs that can be edited without being pixelated when they are sized; vectors are ideal to achieve optimal results, if you do not get vectors with a license subject to modification or free of copyright, it is possible to vectorize own images with some specialized software, in my case I used the following resources:

1. Adobe illustrator cs6 x 64 bit.
2. Adobe photoshop cs6 x 64 bit.
3. Paint (windows)
4. Image with Public Domain (HIVE logo)

La aplicación de windows paint es muy útil para reducir el peso digital a las imágenes sin que se pierda la calidad de las mismas; con solo abrir el archivo y guardar en formato png preferiblemente, se reduce en gran proporción el peso digital y si reduce el tamaño, mucho mejor.

The application of windows paint is very useful to reduce the digital weight to the images without losing the quality of the same ones; with only opening the file and saving in png format preferably, the digital weight is reduced in great proportion and if it reduces the size, much better.

Con el programa Adobe photoshop cs6 se obtienen mejores resultados porque es un software especializado en la edición de imágenes, la versión de prueba tiene limitaciones; recomiendo la versión completa para un adecuado manejo de las herramientas. Una vez selecciones las imágenes a utilizar, una como avatar y otra para el banner, es necesario dimensionar los archivos de acuerdo a las medidas recomendadas: 100 X 100 pixeles y 2048 X 512 pixeles para el avatar y banner respectivamente.

With the Adobe photoshop cs6 program you get better results because it is a specialized image editing software, the trial version has limitations; I recommend the full version for proper handling of the tools. Once you have selected the images to be used, one as avatar and another for the banner, it is necessary to size the files according to the recommended measurements: 100 X 100 pixels and 2048 X 512 pixels for the avatar and banner respectively.

Una vez que se hayan dimensionado las imágenes, se procede a subirlas al banco de imágenes imgur en su website

Para ello se hace un registro utilizando el usuario que utilizaste para crear la cuenta en HIVE. Después de tener acceso sube los archivos de esta manera:

To do this, you register using the user you used to create the account at HIVE. After you have access, upload the files this way:

Al oprimir el botón imagen, se desplegará una ventana que habilita la carga de archivos.

When you press the image button, a window will be displayed that enables the file upload.

Navega hasta el lugar donde guardaste la imagen y realiza la carga del archivo.

Navigate to the place where you saved the image and upload the file.

Al cargarse el archivo se podrá visualizar en tu álbum. Lo siguiente es seleccionarlo para copiar la url y pegarla en la ventana de herramientas para configurar el perfil de usuario HIVE.

When the file is uploaded, it can be viewed in your album. The next thing is to select it to copy the url and paste it in the tool window to configure the HIVE user profile.

En la imagen se muestra donde debes copiar el enlace directo del archivo seleccionado.

Coloca el enlace del avatar y banner según corresponda, primero va el avatar o imagen de usuario y luego el archivo del banner (2048 X 512 pixeles).

Habiendo colocado los enlaces respectivos, actualiza y espera que carguen los archivos; posteriormente actualiza la página del navegador y verás que tienes un banner y avatar con mejor aspecto creativo.
