Young Orangutan (Ink Drawing)
Hello Everyone. I hope you're all doing great.
To begin my day, I made this wildlife drawing of an orangutan's child. I've been fascinated by this family of ape for a long time because of their name and distinct features. Their orange to reddish brown skin and wide cheeks (in adults) makes them stand out amidst other apes.
I used a black ball point pen and pelican paper for this drawing.
Here are the steps involved;
Firstly, I drew the eyes and outline of the young orangutan. Afterwards, I added all it's facial features.
Next, I began shading all the dark areas on its body and also proceeded to adding fur details to sides of its face and body. Its got a pretty rough skin, so I did a shading pattern I felt was best to depict its rough skin.
Finally, I shaded and added details to it's face for a more appealing look.
Thank you for reading and checking out my drawing. Enjoy the rest of your day.
You captured the young orangutan's fragility very well !
Thank you so much
