Schools reopened for final year students in all levels of education

As we move by and by the world tells us that time is not on our side, meaning every blink we make and every step we take each tells us the time we don’t even look at. It is so that just as we were in Monday yesterday and we kept moving around , each step we took was telling us that we were saying bye-bye to that day in order to welcome today.

So here we are in Tuesday, and it is the 2nd day of the new month we welcomed yesterday. So I leaved within yesterday, I kept remembering myself as to whether I would be able to continue the rules and things stated during the Presidential address to the nation concerning the measure to be taken in compacting covid-19.

But as I sat beside this little screen of my device, I couldn’t resist but pour them out as you are about to read in my next paragraph below. The thoughts were plenty but I settled on this and it was a hard decision to make since fresh ideas kept popping up and the funny thing is that I don’t write these down since they seem to get old with me each day that I keep them.

So from my post yesterday I told you about our recent update to the covid-19 cases, and tackled on only the easing of restrictions on the religious bodies (thus specifically Christianity and Muslims). I hope some people won’t get me wrong with what I bracketed and I stated those two because they were the very ones mentioned in the speech, but it don’t mean they are the only ones to observe , so feel free no matter your religion and worship as your keeper teaches.

The second thing that was said in the speech about the stage one of easing restrictions was on the educational sector. On a lighter note and by the power invested in the President and his governance they came to a conclusion that schools should be opened but only for final year student in all levels of the educational ladder here (thus junior high school, senior high schools and tertiary students).

Starting from 15th June 2020, the final year students of all tertiary schools including both the government and private institutions are to resume to finish up on all their final thesis and assignment in completing the school. With that of the final year Junior high schools and senior high schools, they are to resume with a limited number of 30 and 25 pupils respectively in a class. In addition to that they must follow all safety protocols such as wearing of nose masks, washing of hands with soap and under running water, the use of alcohol based hand sanitizer, and the rule of social distancing among the students.

All final year tertiary students are also to occupy half the class size per each lecture, plus applying all the safety protocols. Indeed it was so surprising for many to hear them but on the other note most people were in favour of it since these final years are supposed to finish off all that they started since they are already behind time on the academic calendar.
