Should we really celebrate worker's day in Nigeria

Every first of May is meant for the workers to relax and have fun. A day meant to be at home and not going to work but are we to be resting? Are we to watch and suck out of life?

It pains my heart to watch as the workers are not being adequately paid for the work done. Imagine the new minimum wage of eighteen thousand naira (39USD)is very difficult for some state to pay their workers. The government suck the workers making them work and leaving them with peanut. When they have family to cater for. Many responsibilities are on their neck. And the so called leaders are in their mansion using exotic cars and enjoying their life to the fullest. Are we to be resting?
Couples of years ago, the bokoharam kidnapped our students in school and even up till now they are still kidnapping them and the government haven't recover the students. Imagine the situation the parents will be everyday. There is insecurity in the country and the life of the people is nothing to them.
The cost of living is high and cost of food is increasing day by day.
20 October 2020 is a day Nigerians will never forget when people are making peaceful protest against bad governance and for the government to eliminate SARS instead to listen to the masses what do they do? At night they off the light and kill all the people.
I wonder what we are enjoying in this country except to be used and discard. Are we really to be resting?
