Christmas Light Switch On ...

avatar

After most of the Christmas festivities got cancelled last year, it was good to see things getting back on track. Whether it will stay like this, who knows? Anyway, I went to Matlock Bath to
see the Christmas lights being switched on.

The lights were switched on by the local Mayor. The Matlock choir sounded really good on a cold, wet night.

The town came alive with the hustle and bustle of shoppers. The shops stayed open until late so everyone could start their Christmas shopping.

It's a very popular event with lots of street entertainment. We even ran into some walking Christmas Puddings and very tall reindeer!

The gritters were out in force as snow was forecast.

It was an enjoyable night and thankfully, the snow stayed away until the early hours of the morning.

Cool set, the last time I did the Christmas lights thing, I walked around with my camera "on the hip" shooting one second exposures...

Yes, sometimes I've done that. Sometimes, I do it without meaning to. I get home to find out I've got loads of photos of people's arses!

Haha, from what I've recently seen of NFT's these days anything counts as art!
