Hola comunidad ❤️ hoy les quiero compartir mi participación a la iniciativa traída por @Oigres, en donde tenemos que elegir cual el nuestro mes favorito y decir por lo es, y es que, son muchas las razones por las que podemos sentir un pequeño apego por un mes en concreto, bien sea por algún recuerdo muy bonito, algún acontecimiento importante, celebración festivas incluso nuestro cumpleaños o de algún ser querido, todos estos y muchas más razones nos puede gustar algún mes del año, y lo consideremos nuestro favorito.

En esta ocasión no les mencionaré el mes que cumplo años, sino uno que me trae muchos recuerdos muy bonitos y alegres de mi infancia entre otras cosas, les hablo de Febrero, un mes caracterizado por las celebraciones de carnaval, disfraces, caramelos, bailes, desfiles, reinas, música instrumental, y desde que estuve la escuela me involucre un poco en todo esto, casi siempre por influencias de mi maestra y también de mi mamá, lo bueno es que representaba muy bien a mí salón porque ganaba los concursos.

Hello community ❤️ today I want to share my participation to the initiative brought by @Oigres, where we have to choose which is our favorite month and say why it is, and is that, there are many reasons why we can feel a small attachment to a particular month, either by a very nice memory, an important event, festive celebration even our birthday or a loved one, all these and many more reasons we can like any month of the year, and we consider it our favorite.

This time I will not mention the month I have a birthday, but one that brings me many beautiful and happy memories of my childhood among other things, I'm talking about February, a month characterized by carnival celebrations, costumes, candy, dances, parades, queens, instrumental music, and since I was in school I got involved in all this, almost always under the influence of my teacher and my mom, the good thing is that I represented my class very well because I won the contests.

Siempre que comparo estás dos fotografía mi mente se teletransporta a ese mes, en donde mi madre en su momento también fue elegida reina del carnaval en el municipio donde vivía. Lo curioso de esto es que ella con su vestido me fabricó el mío, y ambas irónicamente lo usamos para la misma ocasión, solo que ahí yo tenía muchos años menos que ella 😅, sin hablar además del valor sentimental del traje que estaba usando hecho con las propias manos de mi mamá.

Ese momento también fue muy especial para mí porque estaba rodeada por mis compañeritos de clase, mis mejores amigos, maestras y todos los que se acercaban amablemente a tomarse una foto conmigo, recuerdo que me emocionaba mucho disfrazarme, no solo ese año si o todos los siguientes y es que, mientras eres niño mantienes esa alegría por elegir el personaje del que te disfrazaras, salir y pasear mientras miras todo el desfile de carrozas, lluvia de caramelos, sorpresas musicales y sobretodo mucho brillo y lentejuelas.

Whenever I compare these two photographs my mind goes back to that month, where my mother was also elected carnival queen in the municipality where she lived. The funny thing about this is that she with her dress made mine for me, and we both ironically wore it for the same occasion, only there I was many years younger than her 😅, not to mention the sentimental value of the costume I was wearing made with my mom's own hands.

That moment was also very special for me because I was surrounded by my classmates, my best friends, teachers and all those who kindly approached to take a picture with me, I remember that I was very excited to dress up, not only that year if or all the following years and is that, while you are a child you keep that joy to choose the character you will dress up as, go out and walk while watching the whole parade of floats, candy rain, musical surprises and above all a lot of glitter and sequins.

Por todas esas cosas Febrero siempre formará una parte importante y especial en mis recuerdos, incluso mucho más que el mes de mi cumpleaños (septiembre), y aunque el uno de los meses que menos días tiene, la alegría de saber todas las celebraciones que nos esperaban valía la pena. Había una tradición en el estado cerca de donde vivía mi abuela, a principios de ese mes jugaban carnaval, que significaba jugar con globitos de agua (lo que conocemos en otros países como guerra de bolas de nieve), era muy divertido y niña lo hacía muy seguido con mis primos, también llegaban los días del desfile de carrozas y disfraces en donde el mejor se llevaba un premio, esto duraba aproximadamente 5 días aunque yo siempre me quedaba con ganas de ver más, y como olvidar el evento especial al caer la noche, con invitados especiales tanto locales como internacionales.

For all those things February will always be an important and special part of my memories, even more than the month of my birthday (September), and even though it is one of the months with less days, the joy of knowing all the celebrations that awaited us was worth it. There was a tradition in the state near where my grandmother lived, at the beginning of that month they played carnival, which meant playing with water balloons (what we know in other countries as snowball fight), it was very fun and as a child I did it very often with my cousins, also came the days of the parade of floats and costumes where the best one got a prize, this lasted about 5 days although I always wanted to see more, and how to forget the special event at nightfall, with special guests both local and international.

Otra celebración que me gusta mucho en este mes es el día del amor y la amistad, siendo tan cursi y romántica todo lo relacionado al amor me llama la atención, pero no solo lo material, simplemente los detalles que se pueden dar en ese día festejado el 14 de Febrero (aunque un pequeño regalo no molestaría a nadie). Éste y otros acontecimientos importantes son celebrados en este mes, como el natalicio del gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre el 3 de febrero, no es una festividad como tal pero es una fecha histórica que los nativos de mi país nunca debemos olvidar.

Another celebration that I like a lot in this month is the day of love and friendship, being so corny and romantic everything related to love attracts my attention, but not only the material, just the details that can be given on that day celebrated on February 14 (although a small gift would not bother anyone). This and other important events are celebrated in this month, such as the birth of the great Marshal of Ayacucho Antonio José de Sucre on February 3, it is not a holiday as such but it is a historical date that the natives of my country should never forget.
