Shine upon my Day

It is so hard to pass up unusual beauty when I see it. "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" I tried to capture the very radiance from within His creations, especially the vibrant yellow as it shouts out to me. Nature is amazing, even when it tries hard to look merely casual. A rudbeckia with the seemingly prickly stem as it cradles the flower.

Is it mine eyes that betray me or is there beauty in such simplicity? The simple things in life bring me great joy. My first coffee in the morning. Watching the sunrise. Simple and yet, so gratifying. Do you have a simple joy?

Listen to the sound of splendor as the dark steals into the day. Oh, beauty!

A flower's appeal is in its contradictions — so delicate in form yet strong in fragrance, so small in size yet big in beauty, so short in life yet long on effect ~Terri Guillemets

Have I told you lately how you shine upon my day?
Reminding me
That all is well with the world

There must be a flower. Always. To color my world. #alwaysaflwer I am not sure I would have it any other way. And just like that, this post is over. Come back tomorrow and I will do it again.

Heart On A Course (L).png

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Naming of Cats

The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn’t just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I’m as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.

Nothing nicer than sip on a coffee in company of beautiful flowers. Love your flowers, I am not familiar with the rudbeckia but loved the yellow flower and the 'prickly stem and cradle.' Beauty is everywhere. Have a lovely day, it is evening here for us. 💜

They are in the Blacked-Eyed-Susan family. Not sure if that name is more familiar. I like them because they last forever! The blooms last through the hot, intense heat of the August weather.

Oh, yes. Coffee and flowers. The perfect way to start my day. Hello from here, @angiemitchell ❤️

Thank you so much! 💖 Give yourself a break. The intense hot of the last few days would certainly have done me in! Soak up that nice air conditioner and it will rejuvenate you in a flash.

I will bet everything is at that perfect stage up there right now. I love this time of year in New England, and then again in the fall... and spring... Well, winter is good too. :))

Hi @tattoodjay !! Good afternoon from here! Running behind, as usual!

Great macro on that prickly stem one!! It makes me wonder as to the why behind the prickles...

They only look like hard prickles. To be honest with you the green part of this plant is like velvet. The macro image is very misleading. :)

It is really in the Black-Eyed-Susan family. That may give you a better idea of what I mean. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words!

Have a great day!

I particularly like the day lily one (at least that's what I think it is) with the water droplets on it. Something about it draws me in

They are actually Asian Lilies, but, they look similar in so many ways. The sprinkler had just finished its job, so I was fortunate to be on my way out the door when this opportunity arose.

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your words! Have an amazing day!

You are quite right about the beauty of the flower, always eyes stacked on it, can't take off your eyes from it. Orange colour flower is looking outstanding, simple joy with a simple moment just like your coffee and watching sunrise, its make your day and keep going ahead with lots of hope.
