It was a wonderful day in so many ways. I freed up enough time in my day to do something for myself, something that I enjoy! I got a piece of that runner's high, stretched my toes out on a sandy beach, then got back in the car and came home. All by myself. Just do it! Just one thing, just for today
Sometimes, it is more beautiful because you put so much time and love into it. Sometimes its beauty cannot be measured.
For my heart blooms abundantly with life…and living
I was probably in grade school when I learned the principle: You'll worry less about what others think of you when you realize what little time they spend doing it. It has made a big difference in my life. It's very liberating! And, have you noticed that the less you care about what they think, the more they seem to think you're just fine? Enjoy your life! It's almost an art form! I mean, so what if my heart is bleeding, right?
I thought of my mother this morning. Her life, her love of my father. In actuality, I found out something really exciting and she is not here to share it with. It made me pause for a day of thought. Look around this world and develop your sense of appreciation for the joyful sights around you. Flowers in the woods, the laughter of children, the sound of the waves rolling in... and on and on...I spend a few moments of time with nature and experience joy in its simplest form. Here, take a flower.
So I wonder: Why did love get to escape the breakdown in life? It seems that love grows to a certain deep sweetness as it moves toward old age... Passion stays put, but it falls from grace as the hallmark of our love. This is adapted by time into something very serene, almost delicate…something else It is deeper and oh-so-much better. Can it be that only now I have begun to recognize the fragility of life and living?
As an aside, spring forward at 2am! Daylight savings time!
Tomorrow is Pi day!
All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.
It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

Wonderful words Denise; they say we need to stop and smell the roses, but do we do that enough? Instead, we tend to often only se the thorns! It's so simple like you say, just look around and see the flowers.

So many times we forget this truth. Of course, I will always try to do my best because I like it that way, but then it slowly gets into that trap of : What will others think if I don't do well .
