Am I perfect or am I wrong?

One of the basic rules of the universe is that nothing is perfect. Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist".
Stephen Hawking.

With this quote I begin my publication, one that arises from my reflections; recently a friend reminded me that we cannot blame others for the mistakes we make, we cannot justify our actions by reproaching others, to say that I did such a thing motivated by what you did is shameless, no one is responsible for the decisions we make. Yes, as humans we can make mistakes, make a mistake over and over again if we want, but, to rectify is for the brave, to assume the inherent responsibilities is for the wise.

We are not perfect, although many strive to be so, sooner or later they end up realizing that their imperfections are part of their existence, and that many of them are responsible for their triumphs as well as their failures. It is better to assume and accept what we are, with defects and virtues, that makes us human, it is the essence of our being, people capable of advancing through obstacles, facing and overcoming each one of them. In some cases, we will be unable to achieve it, but who has not suffered a fall.

In the worst case scenario, all that remains is to start over, rectifying the mistakes that led to failure. When considering this, I cannot help but wonder if we are capable of having second chances, is one mistake enough reason to be judged and sentenced? In my opinion, it is not, one cannot judge without first knowing the motives. Even if there are unjustifiable situations, at least in the sight of everyone, there will always be a reason that leads to make decisions, right for those who make them and wrong for those who observe.

So, who is right, the judge or the judged? Opinions will be diverse, each one looks from his own interest, and although one tries to be objective, what is considered correct in the mind of each one will prevail. Now, is the right thing the just thing? Yes and no, the answers will always be opposites, some will say yes while others will say no.

Even more important is to measure our capacity to face the situations generated by the mistakes of others, by this I mean, if I am able to forgive, I forgive but I want you away from me, I forgive and help you up, or on the contrary, I do not forgive you, I become an obstacle in your way, I take revenge; at this point, the true nature of the being will be revealed, it is not only about the person who makes mistakes but the mistakes that the affected people may make.

It is easy to judge, difficult to forgive; but when it comes to us I am sure we would like to be forgiven for our own mistakes. So, if you find it hard to give second chances you better reconsider, because you will never be exempt from making a mistake that requires others to give you another chance.

¿Soy perfecto o me equivoco?
