This is my second try to take more clear photos from the moon with an old Canon camera
Hello guys, tonight I tried again to take some better photos from the Moon, after taking multiple photos and trying to keeping the camera stable, this is how it became, watch and enjoy!
This is how far the moon was from where I was taking my photos in the back yard:
I think the colors have been captured so well, and you can see all the clouds and moon at the same time:
a closer view, you can still see the clouds and some details from the moon's surface:
I was trying to focus and fixing the lighting, to make it better, but in this one you can see more details of the clouds:
Now you can see the moon better with all of its details but a little far:
I started zooming in and trying to keep my camera to make it more stable as I was keeping it with my hands:
In This final photo from this zoom you can see a clear photo of the moon, but still I will zoom for more:
This is the last zoom which my old Canon camera is able to do, it is 48X , actually it is 12x optical and rest is digital zoom, but yet I was also wondering how great I could capture these photos with this old camera:
I think this was the best one which you can see it very clear with all the details:
and in this last one I could capture the photo of the clouds and the moon at the same time:

That is a remarkably clear photo for a hand held picture. I bought the external button for taking photos. I've found that helps as much as a tripod. Some people use the camera's timer. I have yet to get a good picture of the moon.
Thank you so much :D , for this camera I have to keep the shutter button to first focus and calculate the color and brightness and then I press the button more down to take the photo. it was a challenge :D unfortunately I dont have a tripod but that can work great.
I had a tripod. The camera mount cracked; So, my tripod is now more wobbly than my hands.
I bought a button connected to a wire. IMHO: The button made a bigger difference than the tripod. So, I would invest in it before the tripod. When I do night photography, I take all of the pictures with the remote button.
Some people say that they've had great success with the timer.
The new mirrorless cameras have advanced image stabilization software. I am really jealous of the quality of the night photography from the new cameras.
Exactly, I planned to buy a new one when I could gather enough money for that :D I feel the same and I really need those advanced image stabilization and better quality.
You have discovered a very lovely full moon, its being pleasure to watch it.
That old camera can take some really good pictures!
It is a Canon SX130 SI, it really made me surprise when I see it works at that dark night and can have that Zoom with that quality :D it was hard to take a photo as it didn't had auto stabilizer.
