Hello hive lover one of the significant parishes in my hometown Caracas is the Pastor

This parish has a lot of history, because from the coast of Vargas through Cerro Waraira Repano also known as Cerro El Avila, the Spanish invaders made a path, to reach the valley of Caracas. Part of this road is still there and is known as the Spanish road.

Walking through La Pastora you can easily feel that you are in another era, its houses, streets and sidewalks are all wrapped up in the colonial era.

It still maintains its colonial beauty, houses with red roofs,
with large doors and windows, very colorful, with its main square where the church is all typical of the time.

In the square is the bust of José Felix Ribas

He played a very important role
in the first part of Independence. He defended with all his fervor the cause of the republic, he was an important military man who was in several battles, a national hero. He died betrayed for defending the cause of independence.

The original structure of the church was affected by the earthquake of 1812 and 7 decades passed to recover it, it was in 1889 that it was reopened.

Eliazar Lopez against President of the Republic lived in the Shepherdess this house was recently recovered.

Also lived Dr. José Gregorio Hernández who is waiting for the approval of the Pope to be beatified by the Catholic Church.

Characters like Isidoro, who was the last one with a cart with horses in the capital city, because the tram arrived to the pastor.

The famous Pacheco, a flower seller, who used to go down in a cart with his donkey from his town of Galipan, located in the Waraira Repano, selling his beautiful flowers, among them; carnations, violets, gladiolas, lilies, that all the caraqueños used to buy from him. Even today, when the cold weather comes down, it is said in Caracas, "under the pacheco" referring to the cold.
