The final nail(s) in the coffin for Steemit

Until about a week ago I still had some faith that Steemit could rebound somehow with the hypemachine Justin Sun at the forefront. However, I have now given up all hope, and settled in here on Hive - and loving it!

The majority of the people I follow (and ALOT of others too) have migrated to Hive - some entirely, while some remain (slightly less) active on Steemit. What this has meant is that the ammount of posting on Steemit (and the quality) has gone down. I have found it hard to find anything worthwhile reading anymore and have stopped curating there altogether. Additionally, as those that care about this space have left there is more spamming as people have realised they can get away with it now. On top of this Steemit have started randomly downvoting people, sometimes for no reason at all - so much for free speech and decentralization!

Rather than face up to the community, there has been no real discussion from the top at Steemit as to what will happen going forward. Loads of the devs from team Steemit have left, and all the other great devs creating dapps have come to Hive. This has left Steemit without much expertise - I feel some dont even fully grasp how it all works!

On top of this, recently Steemhunt decided they would freeze some users tokens - great idea... not! I couldnt see any reason for this and made me skeptical. I was going to withdrawal my small ammount of tokens but they have removed Steemconnect as an option and dont know if I trust them with my posting key! Not long ago the Hunt team were all the rave and going on to do great things - what a fall from grace!

The stars are starting to align for me, and although the price of Steem is still holding up amongst all this mess I feel that it will come tumbling down very soon! The only posts I am now publishing on Steemit are my Travelfeed posts, as they automatically post to Hive and Steem, and I am happy having them go to a wider audience.

What are your thoughts? Hive Is beaming in my view I am back to getting new and engaging followers, and ALOT more engagement than I was on Steemit - it is like a fresh start :)

I post there twice a day at least but I beginning to think I won't bother...It really is a terrible place and I'll be honest, I don't go through feeds...I drop my post and leave...Back to hive.

Yeah, I think it'll slow down though in the near future...I don't write exclusively for that platform though, can't be bothered. It's more of a reblog of what I do here mainly. I don't even check for replies over there.
