"Linkin Park" is a North American nu metal band specifically from Agoura Hills, California formed in 1996. They began their musical work that same year independently. In that first stage the main vocalist was "Mark Wakefield", who decided to leave the band for not having achieved success on his first album, that's when Chester Bennington joins the band. The band made their first presentation at a Los Angeles club and being backed by Jeff Blue, then vice president of Warner Bros. Records, they managed to sign with the label in 1999. In 2000 they released their album Hybrid Theory,

having several singles They achieved great worldwide success, thus demonstrating the importance of Bennington's participation in this new configuration of the band. The group is known for its characteristic musical style that mixes rock, rap and electronic sounds, from its beginnings it was considered as nu metal, until what was its second album Meteora, at that time opting for this genre and for metal rap, however in their third album Minutes to Midnight they decided to explore other genres, changing to a softer style, oriented to alternative rock.

“Linkin Park” es una banda de nu metal norteamericana específicamente de Agoura Hills, California formada en 1996. Empezaron su trabajo musical ese mismo años de manera independiente en esa primera etapa el vocalista principal era “Mark Wakefield”, quien decidió abandonar la banda por no haber conseguido éxito en su primer álbum, es entonces donde entra a la banda Chester Bennington. La banda realizó su primera presentación en un club de Los Ángeles y siendo respaldados por Jeff Blue, en aquel entonces vicepresidente de Warner Bros. Records, lograron firmar con el sello en 1999. En el año 2000 lanzaron su álbum Hybrid Theory, teniendo varios sencillos que lograron un gran éxito mundial, demostrando así, lo importante de la participación Bennington, en esta nueva configuración de la banda. El grupo es conocido por su estilo musical característico que mezcla rock, rap y sonidos electrónicos, desde sus inicios se le consideró como nu metal, hasta lo que fue su segundo álbum Meteora, en ese entonces optando por este género y por el rap metal, no obstante en su tercer disco Minutes to Midnight decidieron explorar en otros géneros, cambiando a un estilo más suave, orientado al rock alternativo.

“One Step Closer” this single obtained a gold record in Australia, it is one of the most powerful of this band with a well marked and deep bass riff, for this song as well as many of them, the tuning is in D flat, and a predominant EQ for the bass and good compression.
