El contraste de las analogías en el mundo del viajero perdido // The contrast of analogies in the world of the lost traveler - Spanish // English

El trabajo en la granja familiar siempre fue por tradición uno de los desafíos más grandes por romper una vez que pude entender lo fascinante que es conocer la variabilidad de culturas en el mundo interconectado que estaba por avecinarse. Necesario era encontrar la excusa perfecta para iniciar una fuga consciente hacia mi mundo perdido, ese en el que tanto sueño sobre aspectos relevantes y que debo conocer para comparar las vivencias que me pueden surgir en sus enlaces de contrastes.

Todas las mañanas salgo a caminar por la granja y encuentro mi bicicleta junto al tractor que domina mis pensamientos de no dejar también el mundo que tanta inspiración me da, y es que trabajar sobre la tierra que proporcione los frutos que consumen las personas que tan lejos están, resulta para mí la barrera más difícil para entrar en el mundo perdido que debo descubrir, aunque no sé si entre tantos contrastes el perdido sea yo o en el mundo que me circunda.

Mi hermana menor me dijo que no saliera de nuestra zona de confort, y es que ella no le preocupa algo más que esté más allá de nuestras costumbres, yo por el contrario le dije: no te preocupes mi hermana amada que cuando veas que me encuentre perdido en ese mundo de enlaces y contrastes, entonces podrás estar segura que tu hermano ha encontrado la felicidad plena de haber encontrado la manera de compartir la diversidad de fronteras que separan nuestra granja de un mundo que para mí resulta fascinante de conocer.

Working on the family farm was always traditionally one of the greatest challenges to be overcome once I understood how fascinating it is to learn about the variability of cultures in the interconnected world that was to come. It was necessary to find the perfect excuse to start a conscious escape into my lost world, the one in which I dream so much about relevant aspects and that I must know in order to compare the experiences that may arise in their contrasting links.

Every morning I go for a walk around the farm and I find my bike next to the tractor that dominates my thoughts of not leaving the world that gives me so much inspiration, and that is to work on the land that provides the fruits that people who are so far away consume, is for me the most difficult barrier to enter the lost world that I must discover, although I do not know if among so many contrasts the lost is me or in the world around me.

My younger sister told me not to leave our comfort zone, because she is not worried about anything else that is beyond our customs. On the contrary, I told her: don't worry, my beloved sister, when you see that I am lost in that world of links and contrasts, then you can be sure that your brother has found the full happiness of having found the way to share the diversity of borders that separate our farm from a world that is fascinating for me to know.

Me imagino cuantos talentos perdidos sin que yo puedo descubrirlos en estas fronteras que solo están separadas por las leyes de un sin fin de filosofías absurdas y egoístas de unos pocos que no podrán arruinar mi viaje hacia las tierras que no están separadas por agua.

Lo más cercano a la granja es la estación del tren que sale desde las partes más lejanas como en las que yo estoy hasta las urbes más imponentes del gran continente. No le diré nada a mi familia del viaje que pienso emprender hacia un destino que no conozco pero que de seguro disfrutaré muchísimo.

I can imagine how many talents are lost without my being able to discover them in these borders that are only separated by the laws of an endless number of absurd and selfish philosophies from a few that will not be able to ruin my journey towards the lands that are not separated by water.

The closest thing to the farm is the train station that goes from the farthest parts as I am to the most imposing cities of the great continent. I won't tell my family about the trip I plan to take to a destination I don't know, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it very much.

Ahora que me encuentro en esta bestia negra que solo expulsa humo por sus entrañas, queriendo contaminar al mundo circundante al que pretendo conquistar, solo pienso en ese estilo de vida que deben llevar todos aquellos que se encuentran lejos de la granja que pretendo olvidar.

La primera parada que hizo la bestia negra fue en una zona desértica, dado la abundancia las tierras que abondonde y queriendo encontrar un contraste a mi mundo de origen, decidí bajarme en esa primera parada para de esta forma empezar a explorar un mundo que no tiene mucho que explorar, en la lejanía visualice a un guía turístico que gritaba: pague tan solo 1$ por apreciar el paisaje desolado del desierto sahara.

Now that I find myself in this black beast that only expels smoke from its entrails, wanting to contaminate the surrounding world that I intend to conquer, I only think of that lifestyle that must be led by all those who are far from the farm that I intend to forget.

The first stop that the black beast made was in a desert area, given the abundance of land that abounds and wanting to find a contrast to my world of origin, I decided to get off at that first stop so I could start exploring a world that doesn't have much to explore, in the distance I saw a tourist guide who shouted: pay only $1 to appreciate the desolate landscape of the Saharan desert.

Cuánta reflexión pude sacar con esta excursión por todo el desierto del Sahara, realmente me hacía falta ver un contraste que fuera cónsono con mi realidad pasada. A pesar de que mis tierras nativas me permiten trabajar y permitir sembrar en la granja familiar, pensé en que toda las personas que habitaban estas tierras no tienen la posibilidad en lo remoto de poder trabajarlas, por ese entendí que su única fuente de ingresos era el turismo personificado.

Mi mente no dejaba de pensar en mis otras posibles rutas y en el contraste constante que andaba buscando en mi loco viaje perdido.

Le pregunté al guía turístico que me recomendará un lugar a donde viajar, en donde pudiera encontrar un ritmo dinámico en el que se demandará energía al máximo para poder cubrir con las exigencias de una urbe modelo digna de los elementos modernos que se estaban viviendo en ese momento.

El guía turístico sin titubear me dijo: "es preciso que puedas viajar a París, eso si el viaje desde aquí hasta Francia solo lo puede hacer en tren". Pensé inmediatamente ¡Oh no, otra bestia que expulsa humo! en verdad que no quería asumir ese nuevo reto otra vez, pero si ha emprendido este loco viaje lleno de contrastes y comparaciones, debería de asumir el reto de dominar nuevamente a otras de estas bestias.

Llegue a la parada del tren, pero la nueva bestia a la que me montaría no había llegado, por lo que decidí caminar un poco sobre los rieles del tren.

How much reflection I was able to draw from this excursion throughout the Sahara desert, I really needed to see a contrast that was consistent with my past reality. Even though my native lands allow me to work and allow me to sow on the family farm, I thought about the fact that all the people who inhabited these lands do not have the possibility in the remoteness of being able to work them, for that reason I understood that their only source of income was tourism personified.

My mind kept thinking about my other possible routes and the constant contrast I was looking for in my crazy lost journey.

I asked the tourist guide to recommend a place to travel to, where I could find a dynamic rhythm that would demand the maximum energy to be able to meet the demands of a model city worthy of the modern elements that were being experienced at that time.

The tour guide told me without hesitation: "you must be able to travel to Paris, that is, if the journey from here to France can only be made by train". I immediately thought, Oh no, another beast that expels smoke! I really did not want to take on that new challenge again, but if you have undertaken this crazy journey full of contrasts and comparisons, you should take on the challenge of mastering other of these beasts again.

I arrived at the train stop, but the new beast I would ride had not arrived, so I decided to walk a little on the train tracks.

Finalmente ya después de tanto caminar y seguir evaluando los diferentes contrastes en el entorno que se me mostraba, decidí abordar la nueva bestia, la única diferencia entre esta y la que intente dominar en la estación en las cercanías de la granja es que esta mostraba menos resabio que la otra, por lo que decidí relajarme y disfrutar del nuevo ambiente que me brindaba la nueva bestia.

Finally, after so much walking and continuing to evaluate the different contrasts in the environment that was shown to me, I decided to tackle the new beast. The only difference between this one and the one that I tried to dominate in the station near the farm is that this one showed less residue than the other one, so I decided to relax and enjoy the new environment that the new beast offered me.

El destino de esta bestia en un viaje que fue realmente placentero era directamente hasta la Torre Eiffel en París (Francia), un momento que podía ser muy propicio para evaluar la capacidad arquitectónica de los lugareños de esa ciudad moderna y de vanguardia en tecnología. Ciertamente cuando llegó al lugar, una vez que me bajo del tren a parte de estudiar lo mencionado, no desaproveche la circunstancia para hablar con las personas del lugar, algunos franceses que me encontré en el lugar van a pasar un domingo familiar, y otras personas turistas como yo, pero entre todos difícilmente encontré a alguien con los mismos intereses locos de analizar el contraste y puntos a compartir entre las culturas que allí convergían.

The destination of this beast in a trip that was really pleasant was directly to the Eiffel Tower in Paris (France), a moment that could be very propitious to evaluate the architectural capacity of the locals of that modern city at the forefront of technology. Certainly when I arrived at the place, once I got off the train apart from studying the mentioned, I didn't miss the opportunity to talk to the local people, some French people I met in the place are going to spend a family Sunday, and other tourists like me, but between all of them I hardly found anyone with the same crazy interests of analyzing the contrast and points to share between the cultures that converged there

No resultaba necesario en que mi loca travesía tuviera que pasar por distintas regiones, creo que pude ver los contrastes suficientes hasta el momento para darme cuenta que solo me faltaba ir hasta una parte de Sur América muy importante para el análisis de la supervivencia que creo tendría la humanidad durante los años que pudieran cuidar esta parte del planeta, y es que deseaba con ansias conocer aunque sea una parte de la selva amazónica, es que allí si existía el verdadero contraste de vegetación y fauna que me haría desaparecer mis ansias locas de conocer este mundo diverso, y de forma más tranquila poder devolverme a la granja que añoraba tanto.

Existía una dificultad muy grande, y es que en todos los viajes realizados me pude mover tranquilamente entre Europa, África y Asia sin ningún problema, ya que entre las bondades que tiene la bestia que expulsa humo está en que me puede llevar de un lugar a otro recorriendo largas distancias entre continentes sin problemas, ahora el desafío es mucho mayor, tendría que abordar una bestia aérea para poder llegar hasta el Amazonas.

It was not necessary that my crazy journey had to go through different regions, I think I could see enough contrasts so far to realize that I only had to go to a part of South America very important for the analysis of survival that I think humanity would have during the years that could take care of this part of the planet, I was eager to get to know even a part of the Amazon rainforest, because there was a real contrast of vegetation and fauna that would make my crazy desire to know this diverse world disappear, and in a more peaceful way to return to the farm that I missed so much.

There was a great difficulty, and that is that in all the trips I made I was able to move calmly between Europe, Africa and Asia without any problem, since among the benefits that the beast that expels smoke has is that it can take me from one place to another traveling long distances between continents without problems, now the challenge is much greater, I would have to board an air beast to be able to reach the Amazon.

Fue un viaje relativamente largo para poder atravesar todo ese inmenso mar de agua a pesar de que la bestia con alas se desplazaba con rapidez no se pudo evitar que el viaje fuera algo agotador, aproveche el viaje para dialogar con los ecologistas que viajaban junto a mí, ellos me dijeron que para mis objetivos de multiplicidad en las experiencias que yo deseaba vivir era bueno que conociera a los yanomamis, que era una etnia aborigen de una parte de la selva amazónica con un modo de vida que encerraba muchos misterios y creencias.

It was a relatively long trip to be able to cross all that immense sea of water even though the beast with wings was moving fast, it could not be avoided that the trip was something exhausting, I took advantage of the trip to dialogue with the ecologists who were traveling with me, they told me that for my objectives of multiculturalism in the experiences that I wanted to live it was good that I knew the Yanomamis, which was an aboriginal ethnic group from a part of the Amazon forest with a way of life that contained many mysteries and beliefs.

Sin lugar a dudas me sentí pleno, por fin deje de lado la contaminación de las ciudades, pude ver un ambiente distinto al de mi granja, respirar aire puro de la selva amazónica es una experiencia extraordinaria, creo que volveré a mi lugar de origen sintiendo que valió la pena a ver compartido vivencias en este loco viaje y pudiendo encontrar una analogía cuyo razonamiento me indica que resulta necesario ver las fortalezas y debilidades que otros ecosistemas pueden ofrecer fuera del confort de nuestro seguro estilo de vida. Compartir con la etnia yanomamis resultó ser la mejor de mis experiencias en todo este largo viaje desde que salí de la granja donde mi tractor y mi bicicleta quedan rezagados ante tan bonitos recuerdos que pasaran por mi mente una vez que deje estas tierras suramericanas.

Without a doubt I felt full, I finally left aside the pollution of the cities, I could see an environment different from that of my farm, breathing pure air from the Amazon rainforest is an extraordinary experience, I think I will return to my place of origin feeling that it was worthwhile to see shared experiences in this crazy journey and being able to find an analogy whose reasoning indicates to me that it is necessary to see the strengths and weaknesses that other ecosystems can offer outside the comfort of our safe lifestyle. Sharing with the Yanomami ethnic group turned out to be the best of my experiences in this whole long journey since I left the farm where my tractor and my bicycle are left behind by such beautiful memories that will pass through my mind once I leave these South American lands.

Moraleja del cuento // Moral of the story

"Así como el viajero perdido experimentó un sentimiento que lo motivó a generar nuevas vivencias y cambios dentro de un entorno de vida rutinario, de ese mismo modo podemos dar un cambio circunstancial a nuestras vidas, siempre y cuando estemos dispuestos a dejar nuestra zona de confort y de esta forma experimentar nuevas culturas y costumbres, que nos ayudaran a cerrar muchas veces ese vacío que sentimos por nuestras rutinas y modos de vida."

"Just as the lost traveler experienced a feeling that motivated him to generate new experiences and changes within a routine living environment, in the same way we can give a circumstantial change to our lives, as long as we are willing to leave our comfort zone and in this way experience new cultures and customs, which will help us to close many times that emptiness that we feel for our routines and ways of life."
