...YOUR CRY IS HEARD...
“The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.” (Psalms 6:9)
Hello my dear friend. The promise verse for today is taken from Psalm 6:9 which says “The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.” You may have been crying for very long, asking the Lord for a miracle in your life. Sometimes you have cried so much that you have even run out of tears. You may not even have words to cry out to the Lord because you have been so greatly burdened. However, today, the Lord says that your cries have been heard.
We read about the story of Hannah in the Bible. “There was a certain man named Elkanah, who had two wives Hannah and the other Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah had none. Hannah’s rival kept provoking her in order to irritate her. Her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat. In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard.” (I Samuel 1:1-12). My wife also went through the problem of delayed gift of child. She didn't have a child for a long time. People who got married around the same time had two or three children before my wife could even conceive for the first time. Everybody started asking her and some even made fun of her. However, she held on to the Lord and boldly confessed that the Lord would surely bless her. By the grace of God, she was blessed with our beautiful daughter Emmanuella.
Similarly, you may have been waiting a really long time for receiving your blessings. You might be wondering why this blessing is delayed and may have become very upset that people around you - your family and friends are teasing you. Today the Lord is going to do a miracle for you. The Lord is going to wipe away your tears today. The Bible says in John 16:20, “You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.” Similarly, the Lord is going to turn your grief into joy today.
PRAYER:
My loving heavenly Father,
I thank you for you are going to bless me today. Especially, I pray for the blessing that I have been waiting for a long time. Lord have mercy upon me and bless me today. Let me not be humiliated and suffer anymore. Let my tears be turned into joy. I thank you for you are going to pour your blessing upon me.
