[ESP-ENG] Un día por Toledo - España [Relato y Fotos] // A day in Toledo - Spain [Story and Photos]

Una travesía maravillosa de 12 horas... Todo comenzó un día en Madrid, mi tía, mis primos y yo decidimos ir a conocer Toledo. Toledo es un municipio que pertenece a la provincia española de Castilla - La Mancha. Es un lugar lleno de cultura e historia y queríamos conocerlo.

A wonderful 12-hour journey...
It all started one day in Madrid, my aunt, my cousins ​​and I decided to go to Toledo. Toledo is a municipality that belongs to the Spanish province of Castilla - La Mancha. It is a place full of culture and history and we wanted to get to know it.

Para esto, nos comunicamos con una agencia de viajes que hace paseos cortos -de un día- a diferentes provincias de España. Nosotros tomaos el paseo a Toledo, era un paseo de 10 horas (1 hora de viaje, 8 horas de caminata en la ciudad y 1 hora de viaje de regreso). Tuvo un costo de 15 euros por persona.

For this, we communicate with a travel agency that makes short walks -of a day- to different provinces of Spain. We take the walk to Toledo, it was a 10 hour walk (1 hour trip, 8 hours of walking in the city and 1 hour trip back). It had a cost of 15 euros per person.

Cuando el bus nos recogió en una parada de bus en el centro de Madrid, emprendimos nuestro viaje a Toledo, el viaje fue realmente corto. Mientras viajábamos por el autopista una guía turística nos hablaba un poco sobre la historia de Toledo.

When the bus picked us up from a bus stop in the center of Madrid, we started our trip to Toledo, the trip was really short. While we were traveling on the highway, a tourist guide told us a bit about the history of Toledo

Aproximadamente 30-40 minutos después estábamos en Toledo, el autobús nos dejó en la puerta de Ciudad Histórica de Toledo, de esta manera se le conoce al casco histórico de Toledo. El lugar me dejó sin palabras, es realmente bello, jamás había visto algo así.

Approximately 30-40 minutes later we were in Toledo, the bus dropped us at the door of * Historic City of Toledo *, in this way the historic center of Toledo is known. The place left me speechless, it is really beautiful, I have never seen anything like this.

Una vez entramos, la ciudad está llena de callejuelas muy estrechas. Todo está hecho de piedra y es todo muy hermoso. Incluso nos encontramos un túnel en medio de un calle.

Once we enter, the city is full of very narrow streets. Everything is made of stone and it is all very beautiful. We even found a tunnel in the middle of a street.

A medida que caminábamos, pudimos apreciar que la ciudad está completamente amurallada y llena edificaciones históricas como la fortaleza que verán en la siguiente foto:

As we walked, we could see that the city is completely walled and full of historical buildings such as the fortress that you will see in the following photo:

Una de las cosas que aprendí de este maravilloso lugar es que Toledo fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO por estar llena de historia de tantas civilizaciones que en ella habitaron y cuyas edificaciones todavía permanecen intactas.

One of the things I learned from this wonderful place is that Toledo was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for being full of history of so many civilizations that inhabited it and whose buildings still remain intact.
