Hey queridos amigos!

Hey dear friends!

Today I am here reflecting on the fifth day of the blogging challenge. This time the phrase is "moment of greatest pride"
So here we go!

The truth is that it took me a long time to think of a moment in my life when I was very proud of myself. And then I remembered my trip last year after going through the worst of times. In 2019 I was diagnosed with agoraphobia and a few other things. I was, or rather, I lost a lot of time of my life locked up in my house for fear of practically everything. I was not even encouraged to smoke a cigarette on the doorstep of my house because the panic consumed me. After a year of therapy, between psychologists and psychiatrists and many beautiful people who have helped me a lot in the process, the year 2020 has arrived.

At the beginning of that year, a group of friends from Buenos Aires planned a car trip through the province of Córdoba (where I live). They only had a few tents, food, and were eager to let the universe surprise them along the way. And of course, they insisted that I go with them. After thinking about it a lot, I decided to go out. On that trip we met many people, who lent us the patio of their house to pitch the tents, spend the night and continue traveling the next day. Among all those people, I met my friend Lalo.

Mi amigo Lalo iría a dedo y me invitó a participar.

We spent two days with Lalo. He told me about a camp called "rainbow" in which many people from all over the country attended, who do not know about religions, sexual orientations, social classes or anything that could put the harmony of the brotherhood at odds. This camp was hidden. To get there, you had to find the kilometer on such a route and then from there, walk for two hours inside the native forest with only a hand-made map. My friend Lalo would hitchhike and he invited me to participate. The simple idea fascinated me !! But my countless fears held me back at every turn.

I knew that if I didn't go, then I would regret not having that experience. So I did it! My friends with whom I was traveling left me on the road and from there, I crossed only the mountain, trembling with fear, not knowing what would wait for me or how I would return to my house, since it was located in another province that I did not know either. But today I am very grateful for having lived it. That experience, the people I met, the friends I made, the trip and everything else, filled me with pride because I could not have imagined it two days before. When I returned home I felt very good, full of myself, strong and after a long time, I felt a little at peace again.
