🎵 Heart Songs by Cosmic Butterflies [And A Bear] - Live Concert for Independence Day

I started a band about a year ago called Cosmic Butterflies [And A Bear]. We made great strides to complete an album, showcase our songs at SXSW music festival, launch into a concert tour... and then the pandemic happened.

Heart Songs

A Concert by Yours Truly, On Behalf of My Band

Feeling fortunate for the chance to rock out full force as a solo artist on Independence Day

Today I followed my heart and absolutely flew! I took up the torch of inspiration and ran with it, launching a live music event. I carried songs on behalf of the band. Then I shared the concert as a worldwide live-stream concert for listeners seeking creative expression and community expression. My wish is that everyone who hears these songs will feel peace and joy.

This full concert arrangement of songs is made possible by a live music looping station, which I just learned this week. This new equipment delivers an energetic vibration much like the music of our band, while still allowing us to maintain social distancing. It's an inspired musical journey, made with love.

Heart Songs

An Inspired Live Music Event for Independence Day

Today is the occasion when our nation celebrates its Independence Day. For me this holiday's historical context (freedom from Britain's monarchy) isn’t as significant to me as the family gatherings I associate with this date. Traditionally, it's the time for my annual family reunion, which means lots of joyful tears, celebrating life with loved ones.

Today I'm flying solo, though, because I opted out of our family adventure in order to play some music. So my holiday feels extra independent, being home alone, and I invested this "independent" energy into the songs that truly feel freeing to me, liberating me from the worries and the heaviness, making me feel featherlight.

In some ways, it seems like the entire world is shifting toward a certain level of independence, in fact. Parents are faced with changes in the school systems that seem to be leading to independent home schooling, or unschooling. Workers are faced with transitions in their employment, finding alternative ways to live and thrive. Personally, I feel it is for the best that I focus on self-employment right now, working independently.

I'm investing in my own body, mind, and heart as my security system and my healthcare plan. It's the day of self-reliance. It's the day of creative thinking and innovation and imagination and heart intelligence. It's the day of shaping our attitudes, generating gratitude as a way of bringing in the prosperity that comes from the source—the Innermost. It's the day of self-realization. It's the day of Independence.

Amping up an electric guitar is a rarity for me, so today I felt like I was soaring!

This is the spirit! amidst so many negative circulating news, it would be fair to give it a hint of positive note to an independence day

Thanks for seeing it with me and saying so. Your comment reminds me of a publication called ODE - "magazine for intelligent optimists." I'm not sure if this magazine is currently active, but it made a big impression on me, by focusing on the good news. Yeah, I feel it is vital we generate gratitude in our lives, seeking out and spotlighting the good news as we see it, from our simple everyday pleasures all the way to the profound miracles.

Soooo awesome! Thanks for sharing!

You should check out Rising Star Game for musicians and buskers on the hive blockchain. It's a game designed to help musicians promote their music. It's in alpha, more features will be added later. But I"ll be talking about it on my show today, so if you want more details, just head over to my blog and you'll see a post I've put together on the subject.

No I'm not involved in the Rising Star game. I do have an interest in it, but haven't looked into it fully. Are you liking it so far? I'd love to know your thoughts.

I do really like it. It has enough interest and gain to keep you engaged in the game, but it's fun to do sort of in the background as well. I'm currently working up to the level where I can build my own band. I'm determined. I think the graphics will improve as the game is more developed. But it works for now. The functionality is pretty high quality, it'll just need to morph into a more catchy interface as time goes by.

Thanks for your comment and compliment. I enjoy having long hair. I feel like a horse when I'm running sometimes. It can be a real bummer at times, when the wind tangles it up, and then I look like a crazy person. It's easy to see why most people keep it short and simple.
