Portfolio: Billy Kidd's Black and White Portraits

BILLY KIDD is an american photographer based in Brooklyn, who since 2007 has been engaged in commercial photography, fashion editorial, and celebrity portrait photography.

His portraits are very interesting because they can be very contrasting, since they go from the intimate to the crude. On the one hand we have many portraits, especially in black and white, in which dark backgrounds and partially dim lighting achieve very intimate effects and connection with the viewer. And on the other hand, by giving so much freedom to his models, it is not strange to see photos with the most unusual poses, even grotesque, although in this post I have not included any of these.

His fashion photography, which tends to be set in very urban settings, is also largely black and white, although he also handles color images.

It has been very difficult for me to make a selection of his work since it is abundant and of great quality, but I have chosen to share only black and white portraits, especially of celebrities, which I consider to be the most interesting that he has so far. Although when seeing his recent work it is possible to perceive that he is entering a more experimental stage.
