Behind the Photo -Looking Out the Living Room Window

We are living interesting and unexpected times. Unpleasant! I think no one thought that a virus would scare the whole world. However, it happened.

One consequence of the surprise that Covid-19 gave us was that we should stay at home as much as possible. To avoid contact with potentially sick people.

The coronavirus outbreak in Bucharest, Romania, the city where I live, has become increasingly obvious and I am forced to stay home. Stay at home!

Looking out of the window has become one of my most frequent concerns. I always liked to look out the window of my house. Because I really like what I see.

This is the main reason why I take many pictures of the same subject. The living room window!

I have known about #behindthephoto for a long time but now it is my first participation in this contest. I think the theme of the contest is very interesting and special. A photography contest that refers more to a story than to photography.

I also wanted to launch a somewhat similar challenge or contest called "Every picture tells a story". It also led to a story ... I did not launch this challenge because I did not have the experience and notoriety to help me support it. I am glad that @nelyp and @johan.norberg initiated this contest that I see is very successful! Especially since they have the sponsorship from @appreciator.

My story behind the photo ...

My story behind the photograph is a combination of the need and the obligation to stay home, as I said, caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the pleasure of looking out the window. This combination resulted in a lot of photos, quite similar, with what I see when I look through the window from the living room.

In my small yard, just in front of the window, two birch trees grow. Birches are some wonderful trees, they are my favorites.

Now is the beginning of spring and the trees still have no leaves. Now I can see in the street and the block across the road but later, in a month I will see only the birch trees.

Now I really like the white trunks of the birch trees seen on the green (permanent green) background of the fir trees and a bamboo bush.

I'm lucky that in my neighbor's yard there are two huge fir trees. It offers me not only a pleasant summer shade but also a wonderful view. First the birch trees and then the fir trees. In the distant plane, a block. This is the view I see every time I look through the living room window. It's not a landscape or who knows what perspective but I don't get enough to watch!

I am a man who likes to photograph. I've been doing this, more or less, for over fifty years. More so in recent years when photography has become more accessible. Although I photographed a lot, I did not pass the amateur photographer stage. I'm a photography lover.

The photos are taken with a Canon EOS 1300D and were slightly edited with a photo editor called Pixlr. As I said I'm an amateur. One of the photos was overexposed and with all the editing attempts it looks like this. Although the mistakes are seen I like it.
