Warm Communication Between The Chancellor with Students in the Virtual |

In order to strengthen communication with students in the Covid-19 pandemic era and explain things that have been questions on social media, Universitas Malikussaleh Chancellor, Dr. Herman Fithra ASEAN Eng, held an online talk show on Wednesday (1/7/2020).

The event which was packed with the title "Relaxing Talks with the Unimal Chancellor with Students", the Chancellor, Herman Fithra, was attended by around hundreds of participants, both of whom participated via the zoom and youtube applications. The event was also attended by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Dr. Baidhawi; and a number of Assistant Deans for Student Affairs, namely FISIP (Subhani), Faculty of Law (Hadi Iskandar), Faculty of Agriculture (Hendrival), and Faculty of Engineering (Muhammad).

At the event Dr. Herman Fithra stated that the dialogue carried out was an attempt to answer many questions that arose from students, whether delivered on social media publicly or through private channels.

This is what makes the dialogue must be done. Herman Fithra also explained that although the Covid-19 pandemic had become a national disaster that undermined the economic, social, cultural, including the world of education, but as a State University Work Unit (PTN-Satker) which had many limitations in determining policy, including policies to reduce Single Tuition (UTK).

But he stated that Unimal was one of the campuses with the cheapest UKT payments in Indonesia. "There are many conveniences provided at Unimal. Even the most expensive UKT is only paid by about 1 percent of students, very small, "said Herman.

During the dialogue, there were students who complained about the difficulties experienced by students who were carrying out a certified apprenticeship, and were still stuck in returning to Aceh.

One of the things they think is the cost of doing Covid-19 free which is also high. There is also a talk about the problem of medical profession students who have not been able to enter the hospital since the Covid-19 pandemic struck Indonesia in mid-March 2020.

At that time the Chancellor of Unimal stated that the problems of the internship students would try to be solved properly. The point is students should not be displaced in other countries.
