Reciclaje/ Alfiletero con retazos de tela/Recycling / Pincushion with fabric scraps

Las manualidades me gustan mucho y disfruto hacerlas, sobre todo, cuando se trata de reciclar y sacar provecho de lo que va quedado de proyectos más grandes. En esta oportunidad, les muestro un alfiletero que hice con retazos de tela.

Creo que el gusto por las manualidades viene heredado de mi madre, aunque ella no es costurera, le gusta mucho coser y siempre la he visto dando puntadas, tejiendo, bordando y haciendo detalles para la casa en su máquina de coser.

Ella es la que ha hecho las canastillas de los nietos y bisnietos, en alguna oportunidad, voy a hacer una publicación con las mantitas, baberos y todo lo que ha hecho bordado. Tiene, todavía, buenos ojos y por eso doy gracias a Dios.

Ayer estuve en su casa, fui a llenar botellones de agua filtrada porque estoy sin agua en casa, y mientras esperaba me puse con ella a hacer estos alfileteros. Son fáciles, rápidos y hasta un lindo detalle para regalar.

Solo se necesitan retazos que se deben cortar en forma circular, luego se doblan, se hace un basteado y se hala el hilo para que queden arruchaditos y así, hacer la forma de hojitas y pétalos como ven en las fotos.

I like crafts very much and I enjoy doing them, especially when it comes to recycling and taking advantage of what is left over from larger projects. In this opportunity, I show you a pincushion I made from fabric scraps.

I think that the taste for crafts comes from my mother, although she is not a seamstress, she likes to sew a lot and I have always seen her giving stitches, knitting, embroidering and making details for the house on her sewing machine.

She is the one who has made the baskets for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On some occasion, I am going to make a publication with the blankets, bibs and everything she has done in embroidery. She still has good eyes and for that I thank God.

Yesterday I was at her house, I went to fill bottles of filtered water because I am without water at home, and while I was waiting I started making these pincushions with her. They are easy, fast and even a nice gift.

You only need pieces that have to be cut in a circular shape, then they are folded, the thread is pulled so that they are crumpled up and thus, make the shape of leaves and petals as you see in the photos.

Después que tenemos hechas dos hojitas y seis pétalos se arman alrededor de un círculo que se acolchó con algodón o relleno especial y ya está listo el alfiletero.

Puedo decir que saqué provecho a un día que pudo haber sido tedioso porque eso de estar sin agua y salir a buscarla no es para nada cómodo, pero me encantó compartir con mi madre y hacer este lindo detalle. Voy a buscar más retazos para hacer alfileteros de flores de todos colores.

I can say that I took advantage of a day that could have been tedious because being without water and going out to get it is not comfortable at all, but I loved sharing with my mother and doing this nice detail. I'm going to look for more pieces to make flower pincushions of all colors.
