Nostalgia Caribe / Caribbean Longing
Una de los lugares que más extraño en esta cuarentena es el Mar Caribe, su olor a salitre, sus atardeceres infinitos y su rica gastronomía siempre lo han convertido en uno de mis sitios predilectos para vacacionar o simplemente pasar un tranquilo día de playa, entre mojitos y cervezas, entre olas y hojas de algún buen libro o disfrutando de una buena compañía y una agradable conversación.
One of the places I miss the most in this quarantine is the Caribbean Sea, its smell of saltpeter, its infinite sunsets and its rich gastronomy have always made it one of my favorite places to vacation or just spend a quiet day at the beach, among mojitos and beers, between waves and sheets of a good book or enjoying good company and a pleasant conversation.
El caribe venezolano es una costa inmensa que se dibuja a lo ancho nuestra geografía y define buena parte de nuestra idiosincrasia. La gran diversidad de playas hacen que sea posible encontrar el sitio perfecto según la ocasión.
The Venezuelan Caribbean is an immense coast that is drawn in our geography and defines much of our idiosyncrasy. The great diversity of beaches allows you to find the perfect place according to the occasion.
A pesar de ser un destino muy concurrido, la isla de Margarita guarda muchos secretos, y hay lugares donde se logra una fusión armónica entre los turistas y la cotidianidad local.
Despite being a very popular destination, the island of Margarita keeps many secrets, and there are places where a harmonious fusion between tourists and local daily life is achieved.
En una tarde en Pampatar, luego de haber cenado uno de sus deliciosos platos marinos, pude observar y fotografiar a la playa brindando un gozoso atardecer a niños, familias lugareñas y turistas nacionales y extranjeros por igual.
In one afternoon in Pampatar, after having dinner one of its delicious marine dishes, I was able to observe and photograph the beach, offering a joyful sunset to children, local families and national and foreign tourists alike.
