The Return of TikTok

Tiktok was launched around 2017-2018 and as soon as it was launched it took everything by storm with a new format of entertainment people were eager to see what this new format was capable of doing. And it delivered more than we hoped for, the popularity of this App rose day by day but it was hindered by some regulations from Governments as there was a slight issue about where the data for all the users were stored. Fast forward a couple of years and TikTok was banned almost in all the countries in some form and it also included India.

Ever since the Ban of TikTok, we have seen several Companies trying to launch their new products mimicking TikTok but they failed to have that X-Factor that TikTok had. We saw Instagram Reels, Youtube Shorts, and many more but even though they are doing ok they still couldn't capture the market, as well as TikTok, did.

It seems TikTok might be returning to India with a different name TickTock. As you can see the parent company of TikTok which is Bytedance has filed for a Trademark Application where it is clearly stated that it is for their Hosting of Multimedia Content.

If you ask me I am not happy nor sad with the resurgence of TikTok in India as I wasn't that interested in TikTok but I know for sure that a lot of Creators in India are definitely going to enjoy this news as quite a lot of them made decent Money from TikTok.
