I can see that your hike was upwards to get such magnificent photos. Was it a tough going given you went up a fair way?

Most of the way up you can drive a beautiful curvy mountain road (link is in the Information part at the end of my post). The rest is a 1.5 - 2 hours hike either on a gravel road or you are a bit faster on a narrow and steep path which goes more directly to the Peak, but when hiking in the darkness it's safer to use the road ;)

Thank you very much that you like the photos, @AngieMitchell, I have had a very good time up there and wish you a wonderful week 😊

Your road reminds me of my hike up mountains roads in the Umbrian Country in Italy. It is such a memorable in so many ways.

I have never been so far south in Italy and didn't even know they have such high mountains, but Wikipedia has just proved me wrong ;) It's a nice area there and I can imagine that many roads are similar to our mountain roads.
Maybe I should sometimes change my destinations and not always go to Croatia on the other side of the Adriatic Sea 😉 ... I'll see when the borders are open again and you can travel without any problems again.
