Sentir la música es algo que realmente nutre el ser. Es pasión, conexión, amor. Es algo que nos acompaña a diario, desde los sonidos de la naturaleza, el entorno, hasta las piezas que vibran en nuestros sentidos; hasta dejar huellas. Y este fue el motivo de inspiración, en esta oportunidad para crear una pieza especial que lucir, como lo es el zarcillo solitario "Love music".

Feeling music is something that really nourishes the being. It is passion, connection, love. It is something that accompanies us every day, from the sounds of nature, the environment, to the pieces that vibrate in our senses; until they leave traces. And this was the reason for inspiration, this time to create a special piece to wear, as is the solitaire tendril "Love music".

Proceso || Process

El origami es una técnica que permite desarrollar la paciencia, meditar en el proceso, y aprender a desarrollar destrezas mentales y manuales a través del papel. Y en esta oportunidad decidí hacer un corazón utilizando esta técnica, ya que así puedo enlazar mis habilidades manuales y la música a través de la partitura, pero sobretodo el amor, el cual simbolizamos con el corazón.

Origami is a technique that allows you to develop patience, meditate on the process, and learn to develop mental and manual skills through paper. And this time I decided to make a heart using this technique, because I can link my manual skills and music through the score, but above all love, which we symbolize with the heart.

Para empezar, se corta un pedazo papel de la partitura musical, con las medidas 3cm de ancho por el largo de la hoja. Luego se dobla a la mitad y se corta.

To begin, cut a piece of paper from the musical score, measuring 3cm wide by the length of the sheet. Then fold it in half and cut it.

Se toma una de las tiras de papel y en uno de los extremos se hace el primer doblez en forma de triangulo, uniendo el margen superior al margen de uno de los costados, para luego realizar el mismo paso en sentido contrario. Este procedimiento se repite hasta llegar al final del pedazo papel, quedando una pequeña pestaña, de la que se cortará en diagonal las puntas para poder introducirlo dentro de los doblez.

Take one of the strips of paper and at one of the ends make the first fold in the shape of a triangle, joining the upper margin to the margin of one of the sides, and then do the same step in the opposite direction. This procedure is repeated until reaching the end of the piece of paper, leaving a small tab, which will be cut diagonally at the ends to be able to insert it into the folds.

Obtendremos un triangulo. En el medio de la base con la uña del dedo pulgar haremos una hendidura, y en los extremos laterales a esta presionaremos haciendo planas las puntas, que luego serán cortadas para dar la forma de redondez del corazón.

We will obtain a triangle. In the middle of the base with the thumbnail we will make an indentation, and at the lateral ends to this we will press making the tips flat, which will then be cut to give the shape of roundness of the heart.

Ya listo el corazón que representa Love music, complementaré el diseño haciendo un par de aros de cuerina negra, que los uní con pegamento. Luego, perforé en lo que sería la parte superior para el zarcillo, dos orificios, para inserta con ayuda de la pinza, el gancho para zarcillo y seguidamente el corazón que colgará en el medio del aro. Mientras para la parte inferior hice una borla de cuerina y con alambre la enganché en la parte inferior del aro, para así finalizar la elaboración de mi nuevo zarcillo Love music.

Once the heart representing Love music was ready, I complemented the design by making a pair of black leather rings, which I glued together. Then, I drilled two holes in what would be the upper part for the tendril, to insert with the help of the tweezers, the hook for the tendril and then the heart that will hang in the middle of the hoop. Meanwhile for the lower part I made a leather tassel and with wire I hooked it to the lower part of the hoop, to finish the elaboration of my new Love music tendril.
