Hagar Qim Temple
(Edited)
Hagar Qim is one of the five great Maltese temple complexes weighing more than 20 tons. The 5,000-year-old Hagar Qim , which means "standing stones," was built between 3600 BC and 3000 BC.
Is located on a hill overlooking the sea and the island of Filfla.
You can reach it by car in about half an hour drive from Valletta, the capital of Malta.
A visit to the temple complex of Hagar Qim is one of the most attractive destinations in Malta. The temple has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992.
The following pictures show a tour in and around the temple.
This new roof the temple is protected from the weather and sunlight.
With a hike to Mehrba is a wonderful day completed.
After such a walk you will be thirsty and hungry.
Have a beautiful Day!
