Este es mi primer Post de año. Algunas dificultades con las redes de internet de algunos servicios telefónicos acá en Venezuela, específicamente dónde vivo, han estado fatales. Pero ya me las he ido ingeniando para compartir con ustedes mis más absurdos, metafóricos y elocuentes pensamientos XD.

This is my first Post of the year. Some difficulties with the internet networks of some telephone services here in Venezuela, specifically where I live, have been fatal. But I have already managed to share with you my most absurd, metaphorical and eloquent thoughts XD.

Así que comenzaré mi Blog de este año con una pregunta frecuente que casi todos nos hacemos cuando finaliza un año: ¿Qué haré de diferente este año que entra? Ay pues, en plena pandemia no hay casi opciones.

So I'll start my blog this year with a common question that almost all of us ask ourselves at the end of a year: What will I do differently this coming year? Oh well, in the middle of a pandemic there are almost no options.

Yo por ejemplo, tenía la acostumbrada idea de viaja a la playa. Disfrutar de las olas y las maravillas de la arena tibia en mis pies. Ja. Antes, digo, porque lo más lejos que voy a ahora es al pequeño pueblo que está cerca, y muy pocas veces debido al coronavirus.

For example, I had the usual idea of traveling to the beach. Enjoy the waves and the wonders of the warm sand at my feet. Ha Before, I say, because the farthest I go to now is to the small town that is nearby, and very rarely because of the coronavirus.

Así que este año nuevo me prepuse metas muchas más renovadas. Saqué mi banquito de sueños y puse a andar las velas directo al horizonte. Allá lejos las metas esperan ansiosas. ¿Qué haré? Bueno, seguramente tú también tienes metas.

So this New Year I set myself much more renewed goals. I took out my little boat of dreams and set the sails to sail straight to the horizon. Far away the goals await anxiously. What will I do? Well, surely you have goals too.

Mis metas hablan de un chico que quizás se anime a emigrar a otras fronteras a alcanzar los sueños que no pude consolidar en mi país. La guitarra también es uno de mis propósitos, he intentado dominar las cuerdas de dicho aparato pero casi nunca lo logro por “cuestiones de tiempo” ¿y qué creen? ¡Con la pandemia ya tengo tiempo de sobra!

My goals speak of a boy who may be encouraged to emigrate to other borders to achieve the dreams that he could not consolidate in my country. The guitar is also one of my purposes, I have tried to master the strings of this device but I almost never succeed due to "time issues" and what do you think? With the pandemic I already have plenty of time!

Otros de mis sueños habla de conquistar el ámbito culinario; me encanta preparar las más quisquillosas recetas, aunque soy algo tímido para compartirlas. Vale, he de reconocer que algunas veces se me queman las galletas XD.

Another of my dreams talks about conquering the culinary field; I love preparing the most fussy recipes, although I am a bit shy to share them. Ok, I have to admit that sometimes my XD cookies burn.

UY, y la cosa que más suena en mi cabeza, y que he decidido cumplir desde hace ya bastante tiempo, es publicar mi primer libro en físico. Este es un paso quizás que no depende del todo de mí, pero ya he dado los primeros pasos. Terminé de escribir mi primera novela, ahora solo queda luchar para que alguien de este universo decida publicarla XD.

UY, and the thing that sounds the most in my head, and that I have decided to do for quite some time, is to publish my first physical book. This is perhaps a step that does not depend entirely on me, but I have already taken the first steps. I finished writing my first novel, now I only have to fight for someone from this universe to decide to publish it XD.

En cada uno de esos sueños y propósitos hay algo que nunca me abandona: La constancia.

In each of those dreams and purposes there is something that never leaves me: Constancy.

Porque en cada barquito que echemos a andar al mar de los sueños, nunca debe faltar la voluntad y el coraje para evitar que se nos hunda. Las velas permanecerán firmes siempre y cuando nuestra constancia así lo permita.

Because in each little boat that we set out on the sea of dreams, the will and courage must never be lacking to prevent it from sinking. The sails will remain firm as long as our perseverance allows it.

Solo espero que mi barquito siga creciendo y conquistando rincones.
