El internet, esa gran herramienta con la que todo esto de la conexión mundial es posible. Ya no hay barreras para la comunicación, porque con un solo clic exploras infinidades de informaciones, viajas a múltiples lugares e incluso interactúas con millones de personas. Todo lo que necesitas está en esa enorme red codificada a la que solo necesitas acceder con un teléfono, una computadora o incluso tu automóvil. Sí, con tan solo escuchar el nombre del “WIFI gratis” nos alegramos, porque sin duda nos sumergiremos en el mundo de las redes sociales a intentar ser como esos influencers famosos. Digamos que, la gran mayoría de la sociedad es adicta a la onda de los miles de seguidores y los montones de Likes. Las plataformas digitales se han vuelto la nueva forma de vida de la era moderna, sin embargo ¿qué tan bueno es esto?
Hoy las personas pasan más horas concentradas en su teléfono que sosteniendo una agradable conversación familiar, ¿Por qué? Es que el internet es ese escape a una realidad que nadie le gusta, llena de trabajo, decepciones y algunos fracasos. Entonces miramos a ese chico guapo por Instagram con millones de Likes y comentarios diciéndole lo exitoso que es y ya nosotros queremos ser iguales que él porque vale, ¿Hacerse millonario por tomarse fotos y sonreír a la cámara? ¡Pues me apunto! Dirás tú, el único problema es que en el intento te das cuenta de que nada es tan fácil como parece, y terminas deprimiéndote más de lo que antes estabas. Seguir patrones superficiales no es para nada bueno, o sea, ¿Por qué tratar de imitar a una persona que seguramente es más falsa que Spider-man? Porque sí, el internet a veces suele ser un camino directo a las mentiras.

Digital platforms have become the new way of life of the modern age, however how good is this?
Today people spend more hours concentrating on their phone than having a pleasant family conversation. Why? Is that the internet is that escape to a reality that nobody likes, full of work, disappointments and some failures. So we look at that handsome boy on Instagram with millions of Likes and comments telling him how successful he is and we already want to be the same as him because it's worth it, to become a millionaire by taking pictures and smiling at the camera? Well, I'm signing up! You say, the only problem is that in the attempt you realize that nothing is as easy as it seems, and you end up depressed more than you were before. Following superficial patterns is not good at all, that is, why try to imitate a person who is surely more false than Spider-man? Because yes, the internet is sometimes a direct path to lies.

Yo lo llamo “El Patrón del Internet”, y lo defino como la tendencia a seguir corrientes que carecen de lo que conocemos como “realidad”, en pocas palabras, son meros montajes. Las redes sociales se han convertido en los entes comerciales más grandes del mundo, o sea, la publicidad de empresas comerciales que ahí se mueven es gigantesca. Algunos usan sus millones de seguidores para convertirse en una clase de “actor publicitario”. Algunos Influencers reciben productos gratis para que en sus videos, fotos o post los promocionen como fantásticos e imperdibles, aunque sean una completa estafa. Tal ves tú dirás: “¿Y qué tiene eso de malo?”, bueno, lo siniestro de todo esto es que el objetivo de todo ya no es entretener, sino vender. Pero eso no es lo peor, porque detrás de esas fotografías, videos y post famosos hay un oscuro secreto de por medio.
¿Alguna vez han oído hablar de la compra de votos? Y no, no me refiero a alguna elección presidencial. En realidad esto de “comprar votos” también existe en las redes sociales. Millones de bots son programados para que con solo tu tarjeta de crédito obtengas muchos seguidores y una avalancha de LIKES. ¿No me crees? Pues por muy difícil que parezca es cierto… tristemente cierto. La gran mayoría de los influencer son personas falsas, con personalidades falsas y una vida lujosa por demás de simulada. No estoy diciendo que todos son malos, incluso, hasta hace algunos años atrás ser un youtuber famoso era dificilísimo, ¿No te parece extraño que hoy en día haya más infuencers que niños felices? Si ponemos todo esto de los bots, los seguidores falsos y la tarjeta de crédito, hallarás la respuesta más sencilla a esto de la fama por internet.

Millions of bots are programmed so that with just your credit card you get a lot of followers and an avalanche of LIKES. You do not believe me? Well, as difficult as it may seem, it is true... sadly true. The vast majority of influencers are fake people, with fake personalities and a luxurious life that is more than simulated. I am not saying that they are all bad, even, until a few years ago being a famous youtuber was very difficult, doesn't it seem strange to you that today there are more influencers than happy children? If we put all this of the bots, the fake followers and the credit card, you will find the simplest answer to this of the internet fame.

Y por supuesto, nosotros que apenas tenemos un centavo en el bolcillo, pues nos atrae ser como ellos, así igual de hermosos, fotogénicos y muy millonarios. Desde viajes lujosos, ropa muy cara y hasta autos que casi igualan a Optimus Prime son los atesorados premios de estas personalidades del internet. Oh, pero, se me olvido decirte algo: ¡Eso no es más que un montaje! Sí, montaje. Muchas veces compañías crean a su conveniencia estos modelos de las redes sociales, únicamente para que nosotros compremos sus productos. Atrás queda el talento, la pasión y el arte, y ahora por una linda foto puedes ser el más millonario del mundo. Debemos ser realistas, nos encanta visitar contenido digital y nutrirnos de él para reír, reflexionar y en general entretenernos, pero cuando esto se vuelve nuestra obsesión encontraremos solo desesperación, tristeza y depresión. ¿Por qué? Por el hecho de que no somos igual de “felices” como esas personalidades fingen ser.
Claro que la idea del fracaso dependerá de la persona que lo interprete. ¿Qué es más fracasado entonces? ¿Tener millones de seguidores falsos o unos cuantos reales? Cuando logras llamar la atención por lo que eres y no por lo que finges ser, te garantizo que ni todo el dinero del mundo podrá igualar esa felicidad en tu corazón. Entonces, ¿Por qué debemos ser auténticos?

When you manage to attract attention for who you are and not for what you pretend to be, I guarantee that not all the money in the world will be able to match that happiness in your heart. So why should we be authentic?

A veces pensamos que toneladas de oro nos hacen felices, cuando realmente la alegría se presenta de una manera distinta. El dinero, al provenir de atajos falsos, es vacío y para nada honesto. Es mejor tener poco pero saber que es por el fruto nuestro propio esfuerzo, nuestro trabajo duro y por supuesto, nuestra autenticidad. Deja a un lado las pretensiones plásticas y enfócate en lo que te gusta, más no en lo que le gusta a otros. Tal vez recibas poco al principio, tal vez pocas personas lean tus contenidos, sin embargo, lo que realmente importa es que alguien está prestando interés a lo que haces sin falsedades de por medio. Cuando te gusta lo que haces sin importar que millones te sigan en una red social, tu vida adquiere un sentido más apegado a la verdadera felicidad, esa que recompensa tu alma con mucha satisfacción. No debes ser como otras personas, ¿Qué sentido tiene andar imitando a todo el mundo? Mejor se tú mismo y atrévete a renovar conceptos, y sobre todo a demostrarle al internet que no hay nada mejor que la originalidad.
