Mujeres, ¿cómo no amarlas? Es que son joyas preciosas, divinas en inteligencia y madres de la vida. Ellas lo son todo, pero ¿realmente las valoramos? ¿Les damos el cariño que necesitan? ¿Se respeta a la mujer en esta sociedad moderna? Muchas de estas preguntas tienen un no como respuesta.

Women, how not to love them? It is that they are precious jewels, divine in intelligence and mothers of life. They are everything, but do we really value them? Do we give them the love they need? Are women respected in this modern society? Many of these questions have no for an answer.

Si hay algo que odio, es que se irrespete a la mujer, que se la use como un instrumento sexual o comercial, y sobre todo que haya violencia contra ellas. ¡Eso es imperdonable! En la práctica habitual, muchas veces pensamos que mujer significa: quehaceres del hogar, o maquillaje, o telenovelas, y rosa, rosa y más rosa. ¿Esto es lo que define realmente a la mujer?

Pues no, para nada. El concepto de la mujer va más allá que esas prácticas trilladas con las cuales quieren vender la imagen de una mujer. Miren que yo he visto a mujeres conduciendo camiones, jugando al futbol, reparando autos en el arte de la mecánica… y muchas otras más que supuestamente “solo un hombre debe hacer”.

Si a la competencia nos vamos, la mujer es mucho más valiente que los hombres ¡y miren que yo soy uno! XD. Imaginen lidiar con todo lo que ellas lidian, como el embarazo, la menstruación, el rol de madre y a veces de padre cuando éste último es un incompetente o se esfumó de sus responsabilidades, y lo peor, enfrentar un mundo machista que intenta reducir sus derechos.

Veo con alegría los movimientos que han surgido para reivindicar la lucha de la mujer que exige respeto y derechos más amplios. Ya aquello del hombre como género fuerte quedó en el baúl de los malos recuerdos, aunque hay que admitir que hay rastros de esas memorias que debemos eliminar.

Porque sí, todavía hay machismo salvaje y torpe, hombres tan incompetentes como brutos, que solo sirven para las parrandas y para darles mala vida a sus mujeres, también con la violencia de por medio. Una muestra de ellos es la alta tasa de reportes de violencia contra la mujer durante esta cuarentena, que ha demostrado la vulnerabilidad que tienen los derechos de muchas damas en sus propios hogares.

Aun hay que hacer mucho para reivindicar una sociedad más justa con las mujeres, ¿por qué? Porque ellas son la vida misma, el fruto de la existencia, la joya infinita que nos regala un brillo inacabable. Sin duda, debemos cambiar el mal concepto que tenemos de la mujer. Ya lo dije antes, mujer es más que modelaje, maquillaje, cocina o telenovelas… el concepto femenino va más allá de todo eso.

Much still needs to be done to demand a fairer society with women, why? Because they are life itself, the fruit of existence, the infinite jewel that gives us an endless shine.
