Romantic and unforgettable melodies from the movies (4).png

![ English]

Don’t think I’m a social rebel—I’m not. It’s just in certain areas. Especially when it comes to the taboos, paradigms, and stereotypes that are instilled in people and sometimes make them doubt what’s right. Which, at this point, is obsolete and undermines self-esteem, self-respect, individuality, and one’s outlook on life. From the time we’re children, they implant that “chip” in us and put “blinders” on us, just like racehorses.
All the information that gets stored shapes our destiny; our behavior and conduct in society will depend on it. It’s a true team effort: parents, society, the education system, the media, and social media all conspire to turn people into fearful, selfish, and competitive individuals, among other things. If you analyze it, you’ll realize that it’s a conspiracy and that the most radical limitation is “living for other people.”
Believe it or not, we always put others before our own interests and desires. Some people don’t make time for themselves or enjoy life. They only worry about pleasing “Perencejo.” I don’t count myself among this group because I like having my own space and time, and I decide what to do with it. That’s why I always say:
—A minute for me.
I consider myself a priority in my life. Maybe I’m wrong, but at this point, I’m not going to change. Not even for a minute would I think about putting others before myself—no way! That’s just not me. Even though many call me dramatic, realize that when you open your eyes to the world, your subconscious is already programmed. Everything was set in stone without you even realizing it; from that point on, you’ll perceive life, and this is part of a mental process—one that’s executed very well.
It’s difficult to replace it later, and sometimes this has a direct impact on our adult lives. Some experts indicate that the period from age four to seven is a crucial stage for information retention in humans. For this reason, we must be careful with children. Sometimes their “antennas” pick up and perceive everything around them—what they hear, what they see.
According to the website peru.unir.net, in an article titled “Major Psychological Processes and Their Characteristics,” the following is stated:
“Psychological processes, also known as mental or cognitive processes, are mechanisms that take place in the brain and determine people’s conduct and behavior, as well as the way they adapt to and react to what is happening in their environment…” For more information, visit aquí
Society imposes and sends subliminal messages that affect human mental processes. I don’t know why it does this, but to me, it makes no sense. Instead of guiding and teaching us to be happy and prosperous, society, on the contrary, instills in us a sense of anxiety, a fear of money and success, and a lack of self-worth. Above all, it teaches us to believe that we don’t deserve to be happy.
According to experts and scholars of the brain and mind, their research shows that childhood is when human beings are most susceptible and capable of storing a great deal of information. As I said, this information is later used against us. However, the most important thing is that these taboos, paradigms, and stereotypes can be changed through hard work and dedication.
Thinking, questioning sensitivity and empathy, and looking for the catch in everything leads to being labeled a “black sheep” or “different.” This has actually always been a danger, and people who constantly question the status quo are frightening, since they can change the world by being the first to cast a stone against the imposed system. Society doesn’t care about love or happiness; it cares only that you consume goods and services. The more you work and spend, the more easily we humans can be manipulated.
Ultimately, we must learn to erase all the information from the chip and reset our mental processes so we can strengthen ourselves and take on the challenges life throws at us. And the good news is that it can be achieved with dedication and practice.

A Minute for Myself
One of the many paradigms I consider very relevant to us as individuals is that we live for other people and what we feel doesn’t matter. We have to put a lot of things aside to please others. I disagree with this, and I’ve never cared what others say. They tried to make me believe that it’s selfish to think only of myself and that I have to put my own desires first; well, I don’t accept that—I always make time for myself and to do what I enjoy.
I think it’s extremely important to set aside time for myself and do things my way. In my entire life—especially since getting married—I’ve never stopped going to the beach or shopping just because I have to clean or do laundry. Those things can wait, but the person who invited me might not do so again later.
—A minute for myself.
As much time as I decide, because I’m the only one who can decide how to spend it. That’s how I am about everything, and in my country, people are very old-fashioned when it comes to this issue. I have friends I stopped asking how their weekend went because they always gave the same answer: “doing laundry, cleaning, and cooking.” Another thing is that, if we dare to put ourselves first, they always say:
“The Donkey in Front”
It’s worth noting that the Royal Academy established that the first-person pronoun is “yo,” and it is conjugated first. It’s one thing to be polite—and that’s understandable—but it’s quite another to expect us to be idiots and always come in last our whole lives. The well-being of others comes before my own peace of mind. Perhaps it’s a process that isn’t understood, but I have to be well and in balance to help other people.
Another striking aspect is that they instill in us the idea that we don’t deserve what we have and what we’ve achieved. If we’re praised, they immediately say, “You’re welcome.” Well, that’s not how it is—as if it were “nothing.” We worked with dedication, sacrificing nights of sleep to achieve success. From any point of view, we deserve to achieve our goals, objectives, and life projects. As for abundance and prosperity, that’s the most pathetic case of all.
We’re taught that money is bad and that we have to be humble. Well, let me tell you that money has nothing to do with humility—they aren’t even synonyms. On the other hand, being poor is a condition that any human being can change through education, training, and skills. It’s not a sin to be prosperous and have money.
My reflection today is on human beings and mental processes. I want to emphasize that nothing is set in stone; every day, new advances emerge in technology, psychology, medicine, and other fields that can, at any given moment, change people’s lives. We need to block out from within ourselves whatever prevents us from growing and being happy. Society will always be the same, and that cannot be changed. But we can change the way we think.
I believe we shouldn't feel guilty about taking “a minute of our lives” for our well-being—to take care of ourselves, pamper ourselves, hug ourselves, and speak kindly to ourselves. Above all, we need to have self-love.
There you go!
“We don’t see things as they are; we see them as we are.”

These days, some people have changed their way of thinking and are asking themselves what is true and what is a lie. In reality, it doesn’t really matter because we can’t change society—we can only adapt to it. However, it is essential to learn to love ourselves and understand that we deserve what we have—and much more. Above all, we must learn to observe so we can identify: Who is the manipulator?
All of this is to remove those manipulative, controlling, and toxic people from our lives. That way, we can protect our mental health and achieve balance and well-being. Remember to say: first me, second me, and third me—and then come the others.

Hola manita bella @mafalda2018, me encanto tu reflexión.

Me contento leerte.
