Saludos amigos de Liketu, hoy quiero compartirles cómo fue que pase a tener un loro de la noche a la mañana, así como lo están leyendo.

Estaba yo sentado disfrutando de mi cena el día martes, cuando toco a la puerta un muchacho preguntando si en mi casa teníamos algún loro, pues yo le dije que no, a lo que él me comenta que el motivo de su pregunta era porque al frente de mi casa estaba un loro en medio de la calle, y él pensó que ara mío, entonces yo salí a ver y efectivamente, allí estaba el lorito, la verdad un loro ya un poco grande.

Greetings friends of Liketu, today I want to share with you how I happened to have a parrot overnight, just as you are reading.

I was sitting enjoying my dinner on Tuesday, when a guy knocked on the door asking if we had a parrot in my house, I told him no, to which he told me that the reason for his question was because in front of my house there was a parrot in the middle of the street, and he thought it was mine, so I went out to see and indeed, there was the parrot, the truth is a parrot and a little big.

A todas estas el muchacho me dice lo siguiente:

Muchacho: Vecino la verdad el loro es muy bonito pero yo con sinceridad no tengo tiempo para dedicarle, será que usted se lo puede quedar y así no corre peligro de que se lo coma algún animal o lo mate un carro.

Yo: Tranquilo vecino, miremos si lo puedo agarrar y yo lo tendré en mi casa, si aparece el dueño yo con gusto se lo devolveré y mejor aún sin tener que dar recompensa, considero que los animalitos no son un instrumento para sacar provecho monetario, al contrario si tenemos la oportunidad de invertir para darles de comer eso sería lo más lógico.

Muchacho: Ok vecino de igual forma yo seguiré preguntando por el barrio si a alguien recientemente se le perdió un loro, y si es así yo le diré que usted lo tiene y que se lo piensa devolver.

To all these the boy tells me the following:

Boy: Neighbor, the truth is that the parrot is very nice but I honestly don't have time to dedicate to it, maybe you can keep it so it won't be in danger of being eaten by an animal or killed by a car.

Me: Calm down neighbor, let's see if I can catch it and I will keep it in my house, if the owner appears I will gladly return it and even better without having to give a reward, I consider that the animals are not an instrument to take monetary advantage, on the contrary if we have the opportunity to invest to feed them that would be the most logical thing to do.

Boy: Ok neighbor, I will keep asking around the neighborhood if someone recently lost a parrot, and if so I will tell him that you have it and that you will return it to him.

Así termino el acuerdo entre el muchacho y yo, luego de llevarlo dentro de mi casa el lorito estaba un poco asustado, y de momento solo se quedaba quieto conmigo, digo conmigo porque también en mi casa estaba mi esposa y mi sobrinito Derek, que intento agarrarlo varias veces pero el lorito se ponía un poco molestoso, así que se mantenía solo en mi brazo.

Yo seguí disfrutando de mi cena y de una taza de café, y el lorito mientras yo comía se posó en mi hombro y allí se quedó como por una hora más o menos, hasta que me fui a dormir y lo deje en el espaldar de un sillón donde paso toda la noche, me supongo que el lorito estaba un poco asustado todavía, pero antes de irme a dormir le deje allí un pedazo de patilla para que comiera.

Quien sabe que habrá pasado para que este lorito haya llegado al frente de mi casa y por todo el medio de la carretera cuando ya casi eran las 10:00 pm, lo cierto es que aún está conmigo y estoy dispuesto a devolvérselo a su dueño, sino yo lo cuidare y será una mascota para mi casa.

So ended the agreement between me and the boy, after taking him inside my house the parrot was a little scared, and for the moment he only stayed still with me, I say with me because also in my house was my wife and my little nephew Derek, who tried to grab him several times but the parrot got a little annoying, so he stayed alone on my arm.

I continued to enjoy my dinner and a cup of coffee, and the parrot while I was eating, perched on my shoulder and stayed there for about an hour or so, until I went to sleep and left him on the back of an armchair where he spent the whole night, I guess the parrot was still a little scared, but before I went to sleep I left him a piece of straw to eat.

Who knows what happened for this parrot to have arrived in front of my house and all over the middle of the road when it was almost 10:00 pm, the truth is that it is still with me and I am willing to return it to its owner, otherwise I will take care of it and it will be a pet for my house.

Reflexión:
Siempre que puedas brindarle el apoyo o una nueva oportunidad de vida a un animalito, no dudes en hacerlo, claro eso si está dentro de tus posibilidades, si vez que no puedes hacerte cargo has lo que hizo este muchacho se aseguró de dejarlo con alguien dispuesto a cuidarlo y alimentarlo.

Los animalitos son una creación perfecta que incluso ayudan en nuestro ecosistema, además de adornarlo con sus diferentes especies, bien sea en el agua, aire o tierra, ellos también tienen derecho a la vida y a un buen cuidado.

Reflection:
Whenever you can provide support or a new chance of life to an animal, do not hesitate to do it, of course if it is within your means, if you can not take care of it, do what this boy did, he made sure to leave it with someone willing to take care of it and feed it.

Animals are a perfect creation that even help in our ecosystem, in addition to decorate it with their different species, either in the water, air or land, they also have the right to life and good care.
