MYSTICAL MARRIAGE OF ST.CATHERINE OF ALEXANDRIA-HOMAGE TO PARMIGIANINO

Hello guys from Hive, today I present to you a classical piece, a tribute to the Parmigianino, a brillant painter of Italian mannerism.
It is a smal oil painting on wood of 20 by 27 cm, dated 1529 and kept at the Louvre Museum in Paris.
Gentle painer for his appearance, but distracted because in addition to painting he had another passion: alchemy.
This distracted him from his works. The myth of turning mercury into gold kept him busy to the point of neglecting important commissioned works, which he paid for with arrest.

Ciao ragazzi di Hive, oggi vi presento un pezzo classico, un omaggio al Parmigianino, geniale pittore del manierismo italiano. Si tratta di un piccolo dipinto ad olio su tavola di 20 x 27 cm, datato 1529 e conservato al Museo del Louvre di Parigi.
Pittore gentile per l'aspetto, ma distratto perché oltre alla pittura aveva un'altra passione: l'alchimia.
Questo lo distraeva dalle sue opere. Il mito di trasformare il mercurio in oro lo tenne impegnato al punto da trascurare importanti opere commissionate, che pagò con l'arresto.

I reproduced the painting on jute depicting the faces of the protagonists and background staing true to the original, while with a collage of leathers, fabrics and trimmings I buylt everything else. Now it has turned into a tapestry of 90 by 140 cm. I made it for a bride and this is the result, what do you think? I hope you like it, bye seeyou soon!!!

Ho riprodotto il dipinto su juta raffigurando i volti dei protagonisti e lo sfondo rimanendo fedele all'originale, mentre con un collage di pelli, tessuti e passamanerie ho costruito tutto il resto. Ora si è trasformato in un arazzo di 90 x 140 cm. L'ho fatto per una sposa e questo è il risultato, che ne pensate?
