A portrait of how the United States is absolutely not a land to imitate, of how for decades we believed that they were the leaders of the free world.
You only have to watch this documentary to change your mind.
It is the land of the impossible but not in a positive sense.
It is the land where you can buy weapons at every corner, become the owner of a tiger easily, commission murders as if they were tulips.
A meaningless land that explodes in all its contradictions when leathery and brainless characters assume power, manage to build empires from nothing.
Strongly recommended both from the point of view of entertainment and for a broader critical analysis of American society today.

Un documentario sul mondo delle tigri o meglio dei grandi felini, focalizzato su quanto sia facile possederne negli Stati Uniti.
Protagonista assoluto, ma non unico, Joe Exotic.
Personaggio esoterico, fuori dalle righe e non solo dalle righe, principale proprietario di grandi felini al mondo.
Basteranno pochi minuti per capire quanto sia assurdo quello che questa serie tv racconta ma quanto sia allo stesso tempo reale.
Storie incredibili di personaggi grotteschi che condividono stanze, spazi, letto a volte con grandi felini. Tigri, leoni, puma e tanto altro ancora. Negli Stati Uniti d'america. A Miami, in North Carolina ma in generale ovunque.
Un ritratto di quanto gli Stati Uniti non siano assolutamente una terra da imitare, di quanto per decenni abbiamo creduto che fossero loro i leader del mondo libero.
Basterà guardare questo documentario per cambiare idea.
E' la terra dell'impossibile ma non in senso positivo.
E' la terra dove si possono comprare armi ad ogni angolo, divenire proprietari di una tigre facilmente, commissionare omicidi come fossero tulipani.
Una terra senza senso che esplode in tutte le sue contraddizioni quando personaggi coriacei e senza cervello assumono potere, riescono a costruire imperi dal nulla.
Fortemente consigliata la visione sia dal punto di vista dell'intrattenimento che per un'analisi critica più ampia sulla società americana di oggi.
