E niente, ancora Netflix, ancora e ancora e ancora netflix.
Con l'uscita di scena dei cinema, che purtroppo hanno detto addio quasi completamente alla stagione 2020, sperando di tornare a riempire le sale dalla primavera del 2021, Netflix, ed in generale le piattaforme streaming più rilevanti, hanno fatto piazza pulita di tutti i titoli in uscita nelle sale, o meglio quelli che sarebbero dovuti uscire al cinema ma che non hanno potuto farlo.
Uno dei film che ad inizio 2021 ha fatto capolino nel catalogo Netflix è "The Dig", in Italia uscito con il titolo "La nave sepolta".
Un cast interessante dove spiccano Ralph Fiennes e Carey Mulligan ed una storia vera che è utile e importante ricordare, rendono questo film molto godibile, seppur con evidenti lentezze e rigidità che non sempre ne permettono una visione spensierata.
Protagonista di questa pellicola è una nave, non una nave qualsiasi ma un reperto storico, archeologico di vitale importanza per la società anglosassone.
Il film, più che tributare un omaggio al reperto in sè, vorrebbe offrire un giusto omaggio a chi quel reperto.
Basil Brown è colui che avuto il merito e la tenacia di scavare e credere in questa storia, in questa incredibile scoperta.
Uomo semplice e di sanissimi principi, gran lavoratore, che incontra la signora Pretty sulla propria strada, donna giovane e bella ma malata.
Insieme saranno i protagonisti di questa bella storia.

Sono tanti i passaggi in cui i silenzi prevalgono, la paura di una guerra incombente assale l'intera vicenda, ma è anche un film che regala delle belle frasi, delle belle riflessioni, figlie, soprattutto, della malinconia di Edith per una vita che le sta sfuggendo e per il gentile riscatto di Basil per una scoperta che lo renderà probabilmente celebre in tutto il mondo e di generazione in generazione.

Carey Mulligan torna ai fasti di "An Education", film che le valse la candidatura all'Oscar, lasciandoci un'interpretazione molto tenera e semplice ma che restituisce con forza il carattere gentile ma determinato di una donna madre che sa di lasciare un figlio solo al mondo quando la malattia la porterà via.
E' un film che non regala chissà cosa ma che merita una visione.
In questo momento sono pochi i capolavori su cui gli appassionati possono contare.
Questo film è proprio in questa categoria di film buoni ma non eccellenti di cui forse in questo momento è meglio accontentarsi.

It's a film that doesn't give you much, but it deserves to be seen.
Right now there are few masterpieces that fans can count on.
This film is right in this category of good but not excellent films that perhaps at this time it is better to settle for.

Con la salida de los cines, que desgraciadamente se han despedido casi por completo de la temporada 2020, esperando volver a llenar las salas a partir de la primavera de 2021, Netflix, y en general las plataformas de streaming más relevantes, han despejado el panorama de todos los títulos estrenados en salas, o mejor dicho, de aquellos que deberían haberse estrenado en cines pero no han podido hacerlo.
Una de las películas que a principios de 2021 ha aparecido en el catálogo de Netflix es "The Dig", en Italia estrenada bajo el título "The Buried Ship".
Un interesante reparto donde destacan Ralph Fiennes y Carey Mulligan y una historia real útil e importante de recordar, hacen que esta película sea muy disfrutable, aunque con una lentitud y rigidez evidentes que no siempre permiten un visionado despreocupado.
El protagonista de esta película es un barco, pero no un barco cualquiera, sino un hallazgo histórico y arqueológico de vital importancia para la sociedad anglosajona.
La película, más que rendir tributo al hallazgo en sí, quiere ofrecer un homenaje digno a quienes hicieron ese hallazgo.
Basil Brown es quien tuvo el mérito y la tenacidad de indagar y creer en esta historia, en este increíble descubrimiento.
Un hombre sencillo y de principios, muy trabajador, se encuentra en su camino con la señora Pretty, una mujer joven y bella pero enferma.

Hay muchos pasajes en los que prevalecen los silencios, el miedo a una guerra inminente asalta toda la historia, pero también es una película que ofrece bellas frases, bellas reflexiones, hijas, sobre todo, de la melancolía de Edith por una vida que se le escapa y la suave redención de Basil por un descubrimiento que probablemente le hará famoso en todo el mundo y de generación en generación.

Carey Mulligan vuelve al esplendor de "An Education", la película que le valió una nominación al Oscar, ofreciéndonos una interpretación muy tierna y sencilla que transmite con fuerza el carácter amable pero decidido de una madre que sabe que deja a un hijo solo en el mundo cuando la enfermedad se la lleva.
Es una película que no da mucho de sí, pero que merece la pena ver.
Ahora mismo hay pocas obras maestras con las que los aficionados puedan contar.
Esta película está justo en esa categoría de películas buenas pero no excelentes con las que quizás en estos momentos es mejor conformarse.

Un casting intéressant où Ralph Fiennes et Carey Mulligan se distinguent et une histoire vraie utile et importante à retenir, rendent ce film très agréable, bien qu'avec une lenteur et une rigidité évidentes qui ne permettent pas toujours un visionnage insouciant.
Le protagoniste de ce film est un navire, pas n'importe quel navire, mais une découverte historique et archéologique d'une importance vitale pour la société anglo-saxonne.
Le film, plutôt que de rendre hommage à la découverte elle-même, souhaite offrir un hommage approprié à ceux qui ont fait cette découverte.

Homme simple et plein de principes, travailleur acharné, il rencontre sur son chemin Mme Jolie, une femme jeune et belle mais malade.

Il y a de nombreux passages où les silences prévalent, la peur d'une guerre imminente assaille toute l'histoire, mais c'est aussi un film qui offre de belles phrases, de belles réflexions, des filles, surtout, de la mélancolie d'Edith pour une vie qui s'éloigne et de la douce rédemption de Basil pour une découverte qui le rendra probablement célèbre dans le monde entier et de génération en génération.

Carey Mulligan retrouve la splendeur d'"Une éducation", le film qui lui a valu une nomination aux Oscars, en nous offrant une performance très tendre et simple qui traduit avec force le caractère doux mais déterminé d'une mère qui sait qu'elle laisse un enfant seul au monde lorsque la maladie l'emporte.
C'est un film qui ne dévoile pas grand-chose mais qui mérite d'être vu.
Actuellement, il y a peu de chefs-d'œuvre sur lesquels les fans peuvent compter.
Ce film est tout à fait dans cette catégorie de films bons mais pas excellents dont il vaut peut-être mieux se contenter à l'heure actuelle.
