Chi sta vincendo la battaglia dello streaming? Part 4
Il panorama è piuttosto variegato, dunque, e pieno di novità che si susseguono poderosamente di anno in anno, a cui vanno aggiunte le sempre clamorose serie tv britanniche, qualche preziosa gemma sparsa in giro per il mondo e altre realtà dello streaming che si faranno sentire.
Ed è proprio con una di queste che voglio chiudere, chiudendo in bellezza e assegnando ad essa il platonico titolo di piattaforma più amata da serialfiller.org.
Sto parlando di HULU.Di proprietà della Disney, Hulu è un servizio streaming che da anni opera nell'entertainment e che già si era fatta notare per titoli come The Path, The Looming Tower e The Handmaid's Tale.
Nel 2020 ci ha inondato di qualità e originalità.
The Great, Normal People, High Fidelity, Little Fires Everywhere e soprattutto Devs sono state 5 delle migliori serie tv dell'anno, tutte a firma Hulu.
E' stato impressionante vedere come ognuna di queste serie tv abbia rappresentato qualcosa di unico nel panorama seriale contemporaneo, ed il fatto che abbiano lo stesso padre putativo è qualcosa che deve farci drizzare le antenne e ammirare con attenzione tutti quelli che saranno i prossimi passi di Hulu.
E' interessante notare, però, che nella sfida fra i colossi sopracitati sia una cenerentola come Hulu a vincere la sfida.
In tempi di binge watching, speed watching, big data, intelligenza artificiale è bello assistere all'affermazione di una piattaforma meno altisonante e di prodotti più modesti dal punto di vista produttivo, segno che, in fondo, la qualità paga sempre.

It is interesting to note, however, that in the challenge between the aforementioned giants it is a cinderella like Hulu that wins the challenge.
In times of binge watching, speed watching, big data, artificial intelligence, it's nice to see the affirmation of a less high-profile platform and more modest products from the production point of view, a sign that, after all, quality always pays off.
